Best Thrift store in Canada

J	J C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shop is clean and volunteer staff is friendly. There is a limited selection of well worn, clothing ($7-$80+), shoes and accessories ($4+); household goods ($1+), used electrical items ($10+) and a small selection of books ($1.00+) and children's toys ($1.00+). Good selection of crafty items. There does not appear to be a huge turnaround. Prices are all over the place. If an item can be found on Etsy, that's what it is going to be priced at or so I'm informed by staff. I did find a $3 teapot (woohoo a bargain!) only to discover at home it was completely cracked around the body and useless and so into the garbage (along with my money) it went. Another time I bought 4 italian cups and saucers for $10 and three cups turned out to have reglued handles. Again into the garbage. Lesson learned - either they don't inspect items carefully enough or they knowingly sell broken goods - be sure to thoroughly examine anything before purchase. Also anything remotely collectible is as expensive as it would be at a proper antique mall. So overall a kinda depressing place. I recommend going to Newmarket instead to one of the many true thrift shops.

We have always found the items we needed at this thrift store, and we've needed some random things that we didn't have much hope in finding. The staff is super friendly and always there to help. Definitely a go-to place for us.

L	Laura Daly on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great store but their hours are never kept too. Today being Saturday of a long weekend, they are posted to be open from 10am to 5pm and there was a line up waiting for it to be open. Never opened. I know its volunteers but that is a good loss of fundraising revenue.
