Friendly and knowledgeable staff at Re-New Mobility. They had exactly what I needed at a reasonable price. The store is on the west side of the property, behind Sutton's. They have every kind of mobility aid. Good selection.

My 86 year old mother had an issue with a newly purchased lift chair. This chair was prescribed by her physician and is necessary in maintaining her quality of life and well being. After shopping around and visiting several vendors in the Winnipeg area, we decided to give Re-New Mobility our business. The salesperson was friendly and knowledgable and treated my mother and myself with a great amount of patience and respect. The problem we have is with the after sales service. My elderly mother thought the chair was defective and was unable to use it. We requested a service call and had to wait 4 days for a representative to attend. It may have been a busy time for the company and we understand it can take some time for a service visit. It turns out the problem was human perceived.... the chair was somehow off balance and not defective or damaged, it was inspected and found to be in order. Re-New Mobility chose to charge $60.00 for a short service call that took four days to complete. On February 8, 2017 my sister called to question the $60.00 charge on an item that was only several months old, and that took a technician a few short minutes to resolve. She was basically blown off by the associate who took the phone call. The associate would not escalate the call to a supervisor or manager and basically suggested that our family could choose to spend our money anywhere we want. Obviously, it won't be spent at Re-New Mobility. Our mother will be purchasing a new walker and there may be further assistive items required in the future. She also has friends who have been looking for assistive items and have been asking for suggestions for mobility retailers. Given the attitude of the associate and what we perceive to be a $60.00 cash grab by Re-New Mobility, we could not suggest anyone in Winnipeg give them their business at the time of this post. We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If it is resolved to our satisfaction we might consider giving more than one star to Re-New.

Marcelo and his staff went out of there way to help my mother in law. I am from out of the area and he facilitated getting her a scooter. She is so happy and excited for now she is so much more independent. Thank to all!

We needed a special wheelchair; lightweight frame, adjustable height seat and leg supports, a curved and adjustable back plus a comfortable called cushion seat. We are very happy with the service and pricing we received from Re-New Mobility. Delivery and setup was done the day after the order was placed!

My family regrets working with Re-New Mobility and I recommend that anyone considering a wheelchair purchase steer clear. Long story short, they were very difficult or impossible to communicate with and they ended up going to the personal care home, taking my grandma's wheelchair which she was sitting on and had paid for in full, and they never apologized. Details: There was an initial misunderstanding between our family, the occupational therapist and Re-New Mobility about the terms of the deal for a wheelchair for my grandma. Misunderstandings happen, so we left several messages with Re-New to try to clear up the misunderstanding. Eventually they left a message saying that we either needed to pay in full (which they acknowledged wasn't the original terms) or they were going to go to the personal care home and take the wheelchair, which my grandmother was presently sitting in and living her waking life in. As soon as we got this message, we called Re-New Mobility's collections person. We told them we were very displeased about the changing terms and the lack of communication on their part thus far -- but we handed over our credit card over the phone and paid in full according to their demands. Later that day we discovered that Re-New Mobility had come to the personal care home and asked the staff to remove my grandma from her chair. They left with my grandma's wheelchair, which had been paid for immediately after we received their unreasonable demands. A kind company does not steal a wheelchair from an old woman with dementia. We called them to ask them why they had stolen my grandma's wheelchair. They returned the wheelchair with no apology. And they still have not brought over the new cushion that my grandma paid for. I recommend that all Winnipeggers find a different wheelchair provider for themselves or their loved ones.
