We hired Remax Professional Rental Management to handle the placement and rental of a Condo in Richmond. We are not local to the Vancouver area, but have had a Condo rented out in Richmond for approximately 9 years. We were of the understanding the Remax Professional Rental Management would be making every effort to rent our property, we do not feel that we received the services we were told would be provided.. We were required to pay a $750 deposit to begin the process, and since then It has been very difficult to even make contact with them via email, phone or messages. Due to our dissatisfaction and the lack of service that we have been receiving we had a meeting and terminated our business arrangement. We attended the Remax office at 10 am today and waited for 15min for someone to arrive to address our concerns. No Managers were available to speak with us either. When they did arrive, they reminded us that they are entitled to lunch and coffee as well. They do not work weekends, and the Statutory weekends start early on Friday and extend into late Tuesday with Wednesday being the earliest day to meet us. There is no contact during these times, our agent told us they have been running under this model for 40 years and are fully capable, it does not feel like that to us .At that time we were told that we would not be receiving any unused portion of the deposit. We have severed our agreement and lost the $750 deposit, it will likely be more cost effective in the long run and if asked we will share this experience with others.
