★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been with RBC for years. Have all accounts and have had a pretty good relationship with them over the years. We have just moved to Sooke and my husband had a banking transaction and accidentally took my card to OUR JOINT ACCOUNT. He was scolded at the bank for this- fine, moving on. The teller also felt it was necessary to phone me and let me know not to do it again and to “slap my hand”.
I find this extremely condescending and unnecessary. I am not a child and our busy lives with young children cannot guarantee I will never accidentally take my husbands card again. So the point of the story is, if you have a busy life, make sure you never accidentally take your spouses card to the bank to access joint account OR don’t bank with RBC- at least in Sooke.
