★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst possible banking experience I have ever experienced. At the time of this review Oct. 4, 2017 their phone is out of order( didn't pay their bill ? ), I'm in a wheelchair and cannot solve my problem online. Their service simply stinks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst bank I've ever dealt with. Made me feel ashamed to have had financial hardships in the past and couldn't give me straight answer to direct questions. Used bank lingo and wouldn't explain in plain English. Horrible customer service. Do not recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just stood in line for 45 minutes to withdraw my rent for the month. When I got inside they had 3 of the7 tills running and another line inside the bank. There was at least 4 other “ bank people” standing around talking to each other. What really annoyed me was that there are three other banks visible from this RBC and none of them had lines. Makes me want to switch banks. If you are considering opening an account here maybe look elsewhere!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to this bank and opened a chequing account. The branch manager Traci Desrosiers was extremely rude on the phone and threatened to close my account the next time I came by the branch, this was fine by me as I was travelling. She closed my account while
I was travelling and actually lied about me to the corporate office. She seems to be really high strung and was trembling with anger. I think it’s because I am a person of color.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Royal Bank has a blacklist — no mortgages for conservatives with “strong opinions”. Denying a mortgage based on political belief is reminiscent of 1940 germany. Was going to get a mortgage here but my husband and myself are going to look elsewhere now.
