A Favourite Place to Visit and Go for Walks.... This place is so soothing to one's soul. Dramatic, but that is how I feel. The board walks are well maintained by CVC. You can listen and watch the birds & you'll be amazed at the variety. I can go on and on but it is such a lovely place to spend time & just chill.

Ratray Marsh is a lovely area. I usually go in the winter/ spring, but have also gone in summer occasionally. There is a dog park, 2 washrooms, and right, winter, a port a potty. There's pond and a boardwalk going all around the pond and in spring summer and fall it is heavy with birdsong. Many locals use this area in summer on weekends. But its fairly quiet during the week. There are a few beaches, the water is cold. Parking: three lots and one for the dog park. Seems alot, but as it warms up, even at 11.00 am you might not get a spot. There are bbqs, a children's play area, a water park now for kids. And a view to die for. Highly recommended.

One of the better maintained and layed out conservation trails in Mississauga. The fact that it's a conservation area makes it unique, with plenty of jungles and ponds unaltered (of course you still can see trees down, not sure if it's torn down or by nature). The best thing is the various length of wooden trails, very comfortable to walk on!

Such a beautiful conservation area. There’s no parking at the entrance, but you can park at Jack Darling Memorial Park down by the water and walk west, easy 5 min walk along the water. Everything super accessible and easy to walk, great for the whole family.

The paths were well maintained and well marked. We stayed along the main trails and boardwalks which were easy terrain for walking or running. There was some construction going on so somebpaths were inaccessible but they were well marked as auch. The scenery was beautiful. Lots of red winged black birds and Trillium flowers growing. The parking situation was a disaster so I suggest going early on to avoid the rude, impatient people.

I've been to Rattray Marsh on quite a few occasions and at different times of the day. Personally I find that the best time is very early in the morning as the birds are out and about and it's still nice and quiet without too many people. The trails and raised boardwalks offers some great views over the marsh. If you're lucky you can catch some of the local wildlife that call this marshland home. I didn't see any deer or beavers but I did catch this hawk in action. It's one of the last remaining lakefront marsh on western Lake Ontario and a great spot for birdwatching and enjoying the fall colours. Right now (October 2021) they are doing maintenance so some of my favorite portions of the boardwalk and, as a result, they're now closed off to the public. Those areas provide some of the best views of the marsh and construction is slated to go into 2022.

There is quite an extensive wooden walkway for pedestrians (riding bikes is not allowed) with many species of birds harmonizing with one another. Currently there are both old and new boardwalks and they seem to be replacing the old one gradually for the next few years. A lot of locals walk here and they are genuinely kind, greeting others that walk by. I came over here from the JD Memorial Park and this was definitely the highlight of the walk.

It is a lovely park and it is quite huge! As you enter, they have an off leash dog park section! We even saw a fox randomly at the entrance as well!! As you continue driving, drive until you see the playground and ice cream truck. Park there to access the trail. They have a nice long trail and it is wooden, so it is stroller friendly! I love that bikers aren’t allowed on the trail! So it’s safe for running toddlers and your pups. The plus side is you get to see a nice view of the water and downtown Toronto! Such a nice place to take photos! They have two sets of playgrounds, one near the trail and one at the parking lot by an ice cream truck. Always bring a sweater with you! It can get windy since you are by the water! It was a nice place to spend the day! We went here for Mother’s Day!
