Our strata successfully completed two major projects designed and managed by Jeongsik. The first project involved rain screening, and replacing decks on our 20 unit building. The second, was rain screening our East wall. Jeongsik is a skilled professional, organized, reliable and user friendly. Agendas, meetings, inspection reports, and change orders were always detailed, accurate and timely. Budgets were not forgotten. He kept up to date records so that any time you could make Decisions based on accurate information. Also, he is a pleasure to work with. If/when our strata has another project Jeongsik can expect another call. Karen & Bill
D	Dustin Harrison on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were a strata, like many others in BC, who did not know what a building envelope was, how to determine its health and then how to go about getting the repair done. We contacted 4 difference contractors and 4 building science professionals and 2 engineering firms. Then our financing consultant recommended we try Rainshield. From the day we met Jeongsik we knew that we had turned a corner. He was incredibly responsive, providing a clear plan of how the project might go. His building envelope report was spot on and predicted all the problems we encountered during the envelope remediation project (rot, roof issues, building condition, etc.) Unfortunately we had a divided strata ownership and half the owners didn't believe Rainshield, so they contracted yet another engineer who produced a report that came to the same conclusions as Rainshield which put even more trust in his work for us. We also used Rainshield to manage the project and I don't think we would have finished the project with them. Rainshield kept us informed of the critical path at all times so that we could focus on the key decisions that needed to be made as the project progressed. Rainshield also managed the contractor very well making sure that the contractor was staying on budget and the quality of work was good. More than once Rainshield requested work to be redone because it was not of high enough quality. Rainshield was incredibly polite and understanding of the different needs of each owner and helped us navigate such a difficult and arduous process. I would use Rainshield again and would strongly recommend Rainshield to any of my friends.

As a cooperative housing development we needed someone with experience who could take us through the process of exterior remediation. From the beginning Jeongsik, worked extremely hard for our cooperative. We needed documentation that would please both government agencies and financial institutions so that we could qualify for a second mortgage to finance the project. Jeongsik and his team were invaluable in helping us access funding as well as developing the design of our remediation. We also hired Jeongsik as our Project Manager which he handled extremely well as there were a number of difficult residents to deal with and unexpected repairs due to the original deficiencies of the building. There was excellent follow up on all work completed by the construction company and work that was not done properly was required to be redone to Jeongsik’s specifications. The only adjustment in the project would be landscaping some trees and plants chosen by the landscape architect were not appropriate and we increased the landscaping budget too much. We should have stayed with Jeongsik’s original amounts. Being able to work with somebody that was honest was extremely important, as none of us had the background in construction needed to oversee the project. As well the project was under budget which allowed us to then do interior upgrades which we also worked with Jeongsik and his team on. The co-op now has an attractive updated exterior that will be functional for years to come.
