We are a road accessible fishing & hunting lodge, located on beautiful Perrault Lake, in the heart of Northwestern Ontario. Outdoorsmen, families & nature lovers alike can all expect to find some of the finest outdoors experiences offered anywhere. Your Hosts

We have had the honour of being your hosts at Rainbow Point Lodge for the past 38 years, and wouldn’t change a thing. We love the camp life and all the benefits of it. Fresh air, sunshine, wildlife and the great outdoors! One of the main benefits is getting the opportunity to meet guests from all over the world, many of who have become close personal friends.

Bob & Gale

Before entering the camp business we were living and working in the Ear Falls area just north of the lodge. Bob had worked at an open pit iron ore mine and also as a bush pilot. He had the opportunity to visit and get to know many of the local camps. Gale worked for several years at the Clerk’s office for the Township of Ear Falls, and was an active part of the community.

When we looked at Rainbow Point Lodge, we fell in love with it immediately. The location is perfect with a long expanse of shoreline, and the lush cedars and pines that remind you that you are in the midst of the one of the most beautiful areas in the world. Our daughters Amanda and Karla were lucky enough to grow up in this environment and have moved off for the time being to establish their own careers.

We understand the value of good service and happy customer. It is our aim to see that your vacation is everything it is meant to be and that you’ll want to return soon.

Stayed here a few years ago and the owners were absolutely condescending and judgmental to guests, especially when there were maintenance issues in the cabin. Staff are truly the backbone to this resort in every way possible. Fishing is slow and bugs are horrible all year long. I suggest going to lac Seul just up the road. Would never stay here again.

Maybe I'm a little biased but that's only because I just got back from an amazing trip where where I caught a 31.5" walleye on only my second walleye fishing trip. That's right. Not only are Bob and Gale the sweetest hosts that truly care for their guest's experience; and not only is their staff equally as accommodating (if you go this year, tell George, Shannon, Janet and Weezie I sent you!") And trust me, they will do whatever they can to put you on fish; and not only are most of their guests decades long return clients; But one of the best recommendations I can give a fellow fisherman is that Lake Perrault has some lunkers. I'll tell a quick fish story because everyone loves one. As true as my hair is brown, on the third day of my trip following what turned out to be a very insightful fish fry, I caught my trophy fish. After talking to Sandra and Lonnie from Iowa at the fish fry, I was told to try back trolling with a Lindy Rig and live leech. Now I've never used a live leech before and truth be told I find them kind of freaky, but my father and I decided to give it a shot. After 3 hours of getting nothing but a few snags, we were starting to get a little discouraged. After what I thought was another snag, to my surprise, i started to reel what felt like a concrete block. As it came to the surface, I told my dad to grab the net (in somewhat colorful language I might add). He missed it on the first swipe but nailed it on the second and luckily so, because the hook immediately popped out. Check out their Facebook page because Gale posted the picture. And the best part? She's back in the lake for you to catch as well. I'll soon have a replica and the memories of a trip of a lifetime. If you're looking for a great fishing hole, with excellent accommodations, an on premise store for anything you could need, and memories like mine, then look no further. And if I still haven't convinced you, we've already booked our trip for next year! Don't hesitate because you won't regret it.

Overheard Bob and Gale bad-mouthing guests and making jokes about races and beliefs. I was raised up around good people in a good community and they defy everything I stand for.

Yes, the fishing is wonderful - sizes have greatly improved since my maiden voyage in 1987...but the family who owns the lodge know you by name, and treat you with respect and honor. Canadian fishing trips should be a bucket list trip for all American anglers; level of experience matters not. And, Perreault Lake, Ontario and Rainbow Point Lodge should be at the top of your list.

The Lodge offers excellent heated cabins with a wide assortment of kitchen amenities and hot water showers. High speed Wifi is also available. Bob and Gale are exceptional hosts that are very kind and friendly. Perrault Lake has a very healthy Walleye and Muskie population. We caught numerous Walleye between 20-26", Muskie between 35-42" and some bonus Smallmouth, Crappie and Northerns. With some local knowledge, it was quite easy to get on the fish in all weather conditions. Fishing boats are well kept and the Lodge has a very large fish cleaning station. This is an affordable, comfortable fishing vacation with trophy sized fish for anglers of all experience levels.
