About Railyard Brewing
Why the name Railyard Brewing?
We are dedicated to creating quality craft beers and our brewers are passionate about innovation and taste. The craft brew industry is a dynamic industry and we wanted to showcase that vibrant spirit by combining great craft beer with an artistic vibe.
Inspiration can come from the most unusual places and ours came from the traditional grain-cars that carried malts to generations of brewers before us. The combination of malt freight cars and graffiti art inspired us to create Railyard Brewing. The artistic design on our products and in our tasting room/event space is a tribute to the creative talent of the rail car graffiti artists. By decorating the rail cars they have created a moving exhibition showcasing their art for all of us to enjoy.
Railyard Brewing opened in December 2017 and thanks to our hard-working team, and loyal customers we have been growing ever since. Our products are perfect for friends and family. We offer innovative small batches and a line of excellent mainstay beers. Join us in the taproom, located near Calgary Airport, for some great tasting beer and check-out our unique taproom/event space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let's start first with the beer at best it's a mediocre Brewery the beer was just okay nothing special you would expect from a microbrewery. As for the atmosphere again it's a large Warehouse atmosphere you get over the excitement of thousands of feet of rope in about 2 seconds. The temperature is like a little sauna in there an extreme lack of ventilation makes this place rather uncomfortable. And once again getting food with your beer or even snacks is a very difficult or they do not have an in-house kitchen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing! This brewery is fairly new and not as busy (which was nice), which created an overall great experience. The ambience was phenomenal and they really immerse you in the idea that you are in a brewery. The clever decor, the giant beer tanks in the background, the board games, and the giant TV supplemented with a few consoles really brings it all together. Overall a brilliant place to kick back, have a beer and relax on your own or with friends. Cheers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great establishment with the brewery right within the tasting room. The main bar where you can't sit at currently do to covid has a curtain chandelier which drapes around it . Extremely ecstatically pleasing. Some of their beers are exceptional while some of their beers could use a little bit of perfecting. Definitely stop in if you're in the northeast of Calgary by the the airport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big open space with large tables for groups. We saw a Taproom Comedy show there which was great. Big selection of brewer merch too. Growler refill or purchase . We tried every beer that had and all were good. Some were better than good. The Belgium and gin lemon were my favorite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stepping inside you are met with a decor that has a great vide. The beer choices are plentiful that surprisingly may be paired with a few food choices. As a tasting house there is only beer and non alcoholic drinks. What does wear on some is the lack of proper seating, having only backless stools for guest. Come try but don't plan to stay long unless your back is looking for a workout.
