This would be my choice to haul out a boat. By far the very best service I have ever had on the coast so far. Very kind and helpful and have my highest recommendations.

took my beneteau in with a loud knocking in the hull when motoring. Yanni and crew spent the time to motor around with me and diagnose the problem - either cutlass bearing or engine mounts. They hauled her and inspected. Turned out to be cutlass bearing. They replaced the bearing (not easy with a corroded coupling and a maxprop). Readjusted the prop blades and put her back in the water. Prop needed a bit of a tweak - for no charge they pulled her back out and adjusted. Im very happy with this job. They could have done the engine mounts too - but advised me to save my money - they were ok.

Docks in general are in a pretty bad state of repair. Have to drive my boat to the refuel dock to pick up my parents as ours lists dangerously for them to walk on. Electricity is shared extension cord. The owner is a nice guy tho and I guess it is what it is

Jan and his team of Trent, Wyatt, Charlie and Sean are helpful, friendly, considerate and highly knowledgeable. They taught us more about our boat, made the right repairs in the right way and gave us a reasonable bill at the end. I liked that everyone at Race Rocks can explain what they are doing, that they go do the research first and then take action. You get to see what's going on... unlike other places where you have no idea what is happening, who worked on your boat, what happened during repairs and why things were done the way they were. It's really critical that you know as much about your boat's inner workings as possible. Jan manages his crew and his company in a way that not only inspires trust but makes us want to return the next time our boat suddenly decides its time for boat hospital! Compared to other boat yards, these are people you can trust.

I have been a customer of Race Rock Yacht Services for about 20 years. It started with my first sailboat a 20' wooden Catboat. Lots of great advice has been shared over the years and lots of money saving tips. This gave me the comfort to upgrade to our next boat a 36' sailboat with a lot of brightwork. I highly recommend Race Rock Yachts - for a do-it-yourselfer like me I could not be happier with the yard. Warm, Friendly, Accommodating and lots of great suggestions if you ask.

Second time there. Both times excellent service. Did my own work and was never under pressure by staff to do extra work in order to bring the bill up higher. Just always good advice. Thanks again . See you in a couple years.

So I decided to use RaceRock Yacht Services to do some mechanical work on my boat... I told the owner and mechanic I had a budget of around $2500.00 for work that needed to be done. I said the boat has two issues 1) The boat is over heating and needs raw water pumps replaced I believe. 2) I want to make sure the charging system is working 100% as this has been an issue please test batteries and make sure it's a 100% The owner said with what needs to be done your looking at around $2000.00 plus tax so you will be right around the $2500.00 mark. 2 weeks late after waiting a week for parts I got a phone call from the owner. He said are you sitting down..... He then said the final bill is $9100.00 plus.... I said what.... why wasn't I told about the price jumping almost 4 times????!!!! He said you had a lot to do and didn't realize the price for parts??? We negotiate a price a little lower but still way over what I had authorize and I took my boat. The mechanic said at least you won't have any issues this year..... First weekend May long weekend 2018 out with my entire family we go up to Plumper's Cove 20 mins away and the batteries and charging system completely failed 2 boiled over 2 suspect, and now my engine won't go into gear. Had to pay to get home with my entire family almost stranded. Stressed out for the entire weekend and now have a boat broken down in the middle of no where.... So pissed all I asked was to make sure I could be out on the water safe and be able to get home and enjoy myself and family..... So upset..... Hope you will look after me Yanni.

Having owned many boats, worked on commercial fishing boats, worked in marinas, lived on boats with much time on the docks with a passion for the ocean, i was pleasantly surprised With operations and services of race rocks yacht. All be it, my small boat with with minimal requirements the staff were very accommodating, efficient and helpful. Thank you.
