But love the restaurant they have inside for Chinese food. That Chinese food is better than Chinese restaurants in town here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Quality foods is located at the Driftwood Mall. It's the bigger store of the couple located in the Comox Valley. The produce is great and the prices reasonable. You have a pharmacy and a Chinese / North American restaurant, they do have breakfast in the morning and currently have seating available. This was really convenient for me since I was waiting for my car to get repaired at Canadian Tire.
The staff are great, always helpful and happy. The only thing is the small bakery area, I like a wide variety of breads to choose from and trying new ones all the time. Regardless, I like popping in quick when I'm in the mall to pickup what I need before heading home, it's convenient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the produce this store has. I don't love how high the prices have gotten lately. I am willing to pay more for better quality produce but not twice as much as other places. My most recent experience could have received a one star rating but another employee went above and beyond. I entered the store at 815 pm. The store closes at 9pm. I only need a few things. I went to the deli at 820pm and asked for some sandwich meat and was told that I was too late because everything was cleaned up. I then went straight to the till and asked the two cashiers what time the deli closed because I was refused service. One of the cashiers said that I absolutely should not have been refused service when the store was open another 40 minutes. She asked what it was I wanted I went to the deli to get it for me. I didn't get the cashiers name but I'd like to say thank you very much for your help. You didn't have to go above and beyond for me and I appreciate your effort and help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was really excited to try the Chinese food here as I've heard nothing but good things about it. Really disappointed, chicken was hard, the rice was just plain white rice with mixed in frozen veg. Noodles were ok but I've had better. For the 11$ price I could've just gotten actual Chinese food from a proper Chinese restaurant. Half of the bowl was zucchini and onion, there was one piece of broccoli and half a piece of carrot. Not coming back here, at least not for the Chinese food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everytime i go to grab portofino buns they are always lying flat on very top shelf. Very hard to reach. Apparently you people think everyone is 6 foot 6. Thriftys much more accessible, will have to start going there if it continues.
