Dr. Andrew Wood provided honest, reasonable, skilled experience, rooted in care. I could not ask for more. He fixed a problem not identified or treated by another dentist. He relieved my stress, based on the possibility of a huge bill, much inconvenience and loads of time. I am grateful and now, have no pain. Thanks so much.

Dr. Behkish is one the greatest dentists I have ever met. She is very patient, knowledgeable and expert in her job. You will experience great care and will take away good memories of a dentist. If you have phobia of going to dentist, you need to meet with Dr. Behkish.

I came to Qualicum Dental as a walk in patient on vacation from England. I could hardly have expected such outstanding treatment that I received from Rafael Magana. His expertise and attention to detail were of the highest order. His nurse, Christine, was empathetic and the receptionist was efficient and friendly. All in all I was seen and treated all within an hour of my initial phone call at 7.45am. Charged were modest. All round I can hardly believe my good fortune.

I have been fortunate to have seen various dentists at this office in my travels. I have had such prompt and efficient appointments. I have received excellent care and detailed treatment plans. They have answered my questions and given the relevant knowledge needed for my care. I have resided in 3 other provinces and prefer the care given from Qualicum Dental.

Dr Mcshane is an old bat who has no idea what hes doing. He took my braces off early when there were still gaps because he wanted to retire faster. Then told me because hes retiring I will see him less and that they would call me to set up appointments and I was forgotten about multiple times. I went to a new orthodontist for a second opinion and was told that everything hes doing is wrong and never going to fix my teeth and jaw. I left them a terrible review after that and was asked to take it down because it "made them look bad" and never offered me any solutions or an apology or said anything else about it. Then after years of being lied to that everything was fine and my retainer was going to close the gaps and fix my jaw they gave me a night guard and told me that will fix all my problems. I already paid for my braces/retainers/everything in the beginning and nobody told me the night guard they gave me was going to cost $450 until AFTER I got it. Then they continued to lie to me and tell me everything was going fine when there are still gaps and my jaw now hurts all the time and locks up so I cant even eat. Now they are ignoring me after I've sent them countless emails venting my frustrations. I'll have to pay someone else 10 grand to fix their mistakes and wait till I'm in my 30s to have the smile I SHOULD HAVE HAD YEARS AGO. THANKS FOR WASTING MY MONEY AND MY WHOLE 20's???? UPDATE: I've also just found out that I will need implants if I go through with further ortho treatment to replace teeth that he pulled out unnecessarily so that's another like 7 grand there too on top of having to re do his terrible work.

Dr. Wood is an excellent informative dentist. He gave me my options with the possible failure scenarios and told me how to get out of pain without antibiotics! I have never had so much detail and advice during a dental visit. Plus he was very understanding of my fear and painLESS!! I almost can't wait to see him again....I can't believe I found a dentist who cares about me and my wallet.

Wow... I really dislike making negative reviews but if this can prevent someone else from receiving poor treatment then I am happy to help. I received braces here as a young teen and unfortunately my teeth reverted so I went back to the office to see what could be done. After waiting for about 45 minutes, I finally received a 5 minute consultation just to be told that yeah my teeth don't look the greatest and it will be 10 grand. I felt quite discouraged and went to see another dentist who informed me that my teeth reverting was due in part to the poor construction of my permanent retainer - also quite discouraging. He then referred me to an orthodontist and they quoted me about half the cost to have the issue corrected and that company actually took the time to do proper x-rays and imaging to come up with that quote (all complementary) instead of a quick 5 minute look at my mouth. I also have a friend who has had nothing but issues with this practice so I would recommend avoiding this office at all costs.

I do not like going to dentists at all. I've avoided dentists when ever possible. Well, when my bridge broke, I had no choice and found Qualicum Dental open and surprisingly available to see me. I just moved to the Island recently and so glad I found this place. They are all friendly, accommodating, and empathetic. I will now start the road to proper dental health with a clinic that I am comfortable with.
