Owner told me that someone left a bad review the other day. I am happy to leave a 5star review to counteract because the service is always phenomenal at this store. The product is top quality too. I do not understand how anyone could leave bad feedback.

Decided to do a small reno on my home. Paint, carpetting, window coverings and light fixtures. I called Quest for Colour, (Benjamin Moore) and asked them if the could give me the name of a good designer. They gave me a name and I met with her in my home and we started the project. Paint colours were decided, new carpetting, light fixtures all progressed really well. Everything was ordered. I asked BM if they could give me the name of a good painter. They said they do not recommend painters and gave me the name of a painter "that they had not received any complaints about". His name is Rick Shibley of Finesse painting. That is when the project derailed. Rick gave me a quote over the phone. Bells should gone off but they didn't. He came to the house and told me "everything" would be done and two coats of paint applied. That was a lie. He didn't do two coats of paint and only touched up the ceilings. He did one coat on the walls and couldn't even paint a straight line between the ceilings and the wall. I could even see the old paint showing through. I had paid him ahead "again, not smart". When i complained to him regarding the poor workmanship he told me everything could be fixed. He went ahead and started "fixing" the mess that only got worse. I invited two professional painters in to give their assesment of the work. They both said it was the worst paint job they ever seen. I was furious. Called Danielle and was told they never recommend painters and my issue was between the painter and myself. I guess legally, that is true, but she never even asked if she could provide my new painters with a discounted price for new paint. This is a very expensive lesson to learn. $5,500.00 to Rick and my new painters now have to fix what he didn't do and then they can start painting. $7,000.00. So thank you very much Quest For Colour. I have told this story to many people and everyone is rather shocked that Benjamin Moore ducks out of picture and leaves the customer "hanging". We all make mistakes, it's how we correct them that's even more important.

Glen is the owner's son who is typically the sole employee. Don't be fooled by his age.... he is very knowledgeable, courteous, and service oriented. We have bought many gallons of Benjamin Moore paints from Glen, and always enjoy dealing with him.

I had the pleasure of working with the owner Jason regarding installation of maple hardwood flooring. He was very personable, knowledgeable AND had the best price and product. His installer was phenomenal. I did kitchen, living-dining room, 2 bedrooms & den. I had checked two other local companies. I had an appointment with a rep at one of them (Castle Carpet One) and he left for Vancouver and did not bother to notify me so I showed up for nothing. I heartily recommend this company.
