★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is an amazing treasure on Monck Road... the best pastry around - you must try their Buttertarts and Fruit tarts. Good cafe to go with those sweets. Also great place to pick up cheese, their famous stuffed olives ( blue cheese + walnut, lemon + vodka etc :) ), chicken + beef pot pies. Summer season, there is fresh produce , grown by their son Aden. You buy annual shares in weekly fresh produce! This friendly place has a lot of character and a lot to offer for your ride, pantry or treats back to the City. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Felt like I was in the way back machine. Lots of new in box toys I haven't seen since childhood. They even have blackballs (hard candy), although I'm not sure we can still reference them using the originally branded name.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little shop has been part of our cottage tradition for close to 18 years if not more ! If you had the nerve to show up to the cottage without butter tarts or olives you ran the risk of being disowned . The owners have always been overly nice and accommodating and genuine . I Was super relieved to see they had done well throughout covid and continue to provide lasting memories for our family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing little place with many unique surprises. Best baked goods and preserves you will find. Especially their famous butter tarts. The people there are just awesome. The young woman who served me was really friendly and provided top notch service. Highly recommend you go there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was busy when we arrived and the shop is tight so it was crowded. Food was good and they took pride in preparing it. Lots of options for sandwiches. The pastry on the custard tarts was perfectly flakey. Internet was sketchy when we were there so some customers had trouble paying by debit/credit. Suggest having cash just in case.
