I had taken it somewhere else prior and had no luck solving the problem and experienced horrible customer service. The guys at Norland Marine kept me in the loop, while they diagnosed the problem. The repaired it quickly at reasonable cost. I will bring my boat back to Norland Marine the next time I have issues my motor.
M	Matthew Aarons on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid at all costs. These guys will act friendly and then charge you beyond your estimate. They claimed to have fixed an issue with my boat. Upon waiting 4 weeks for the repairs with multiple delays, and then launching with them present, the issue continued to manifest itself. When i returned the boat to them to take back and complete the repair, they continued to charge me for new "inspections", travel costs, and hours, yet came up inconclusive on the issue. This shop does not abide by the law (Consumer Protection Act for motor vehicle repairs) and instead charges at will without proper quotes, and holds your vehicle ransom. Avoid this shop if you value honesty and transparency, and on top of that, someone capable of completing the work they took on.

After a long and expensive “fix” the engine ran worse than when it was brought in - Discussions with the owner to remedy the problem only prompted them to threaten legal involvement. Highly recommend avoiding for any boat service - Our outboard engine has never been the same.

They are a pleasure to deal with. The store front is not extensive but strategically stocked with what you really need and a few toys you don't. Sometimes mechanical work is a mystery and never has there been a condescending look when you have to describe your problem by making broken boat noises :) . They treat your money like they would theirs so when you have a true mystery they solve it with a methodical approach to work with you to find the problem instead of just throwing parts at it.
