I	InseasoN out on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved everything we ordered. They have best chicken vindaloo, in my opinion. Loved the lamb jalfrezi, beef curry, palak paneer and Amritzari chana Masala.

So, I gave them a call and they agreed to make the food for me in time for my arrival. As soon as I entered the restaurant, the food was ready! And it tasted delicious! Its a very chill Indian diner type restaurant with yummy comfort food that tastes homemade. Do give this restaurant a try, you won't regret it!

The food here has a homely taste and hence one does not get a overly full feeling. Personally, I would definitely visit again!!
K	Kim Bilida on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious vegetarian options. I asked for recommendations and they were all great, including the mango lassi. Very generous portions. My photo was from after our family of four already ate! Wait time was 25 minutes on a Sunday afternoon, so plan ahead.
C	Chien Bui on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Plenty of parking in the area. Inside is pretty dated, no thrills but I'm not here for the decor. Make sure you call ahead of time if your doing take out. Right next to Tim Hortons also if your in the area. I had the chicken tikka, chicken manchurian and mango lassi. Mango lassi as usual, always amazing and a must try item if you've never tried it. The chicken manchurian with gravy was okay. It was way to soggy, they probably need to fry it more. The sauce was great though. Chicken Tikka was not to bad either. In terms of quality, I've had way better. Their prices are great for the quality of food you are getting. I would definitely be returning. I'll be trying 5 to 10 more dishes and will update my review.
T	Tazmin Mitha on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved our experience at Punjabi Canteen. The food was wonderful and even better than we expected. The service was also lovely. The chicken tikka, veggie pakoras and masala chai were outstanding. The prices were also very reasonable. Highly recommend!

However, I consider this restaurant a hidden gem as the food was flavorful and reasonably priced for the generous portions. Lamb biryani was only $13.99 here compared to $18-23 that I usually pay at other Indian restaurants in Ottawa. Minus a star for only offering single-use plastic cutlery and non reusable plates/bowls despite dining in.
