★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden gem of Victoria! I wanted to buy some local, not mass-market gifts and I achieved my goal there! Couldn’t find anything similar in Victoria’s downtown. They have a bunch of skin-care products, posters, books and even some jewelry.

My friend and I were just looking around and I ended up buying a couple little things, they have real gold and silver rings for an incredible price, everything in the store has a story and is sustainability sourced. The staff member who helped me choose the ring was also lovely, sadly I didn’t get her name. Will definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've come to Public Mercantile twice and it's truly a lovely shop. I brought my friend here today and we had a really great experience once again with the staff member there (I believe she is one of the owners). They're very knowledgable and have a gorgeous curation of sustainable products. The pieces you get here are meant to last, not just to look good.
My friend bought a beautiful gold ring and at my last visit I bought some of their Maude Shine, both products were well worth it.
As someone who works on Fort St. I can say we are so happy to have them here and I can't wait to keep coming back.
