Public boat launch at Vanier Park. There is a cobbled fairly steep boat ramp for trailers and a less steep sandy beach/ramp for waders and kayakers and canoers. Fairly sizeable parking lot both for trailers and for general parking although at city rates. Just down the road from the museums and Conservatory. The seawall walkway passes right by this area so there’s lots of people traffic, ample for people watching. Vanier Park is also a huge green space, excellent for kids and hanging out and running around. Fly a kite here! This area is in Kitsilano and a very short walk to the fashionable eats or even just around the corner to Granville Island.

Smooth ramp, lots of parking, ample space to maneuver a trailer. Just watch the tides and after a storm, make sure to look for debris like large logs before backing your trailer down.

Good place to launch the boat. Two double-wide ramps for easy launching during those busy days. Dock renovations are finally complete. Lots of parking space as well.

As of late March 2022 don't bother unless you're launching a kayak. The dock on the north ramp is destroyed and there are concrete blocks across the ramp. Can only use the south ramp which is too shallow at all but high tide. Since the north dock was wrecked a year ago I doubt this will be fixed anytime soon.
