G	Gregory Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An excellent gite along La Petit Train du Nord. We stayed in the Levant room, which had a big comfortable bed for my wife and I after a chilly ride. Guy and Diane are gracious and generous hosts leaving no needs unfulfilled. Diane's cooking was impeccable and she was even able to accommodate special dietary needs without skipping a beat. I would give ten stars if google allowed.
a	andrea shugar on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Guy and Diane went out of their way to make us feel at home. Their property is impeccable, the room was roomy and comfortable and Diane's cooking was outstanding. This is a lovely historic house and a great location for cyclists!

We arrived after our first day cycling the petit Train du Nord trail and were immediately welcomed by Guy, who directed us to put our bikes in the garage and head to the screened in porch for a glass of cold water with lime. After we cooled off, Guy told us about the lake with a private little beach a 5-minute walk through the woods. FABULOUS! The inn is old, but impeccable. Guy and Diane have owned it for 15 years and are as warm, welcoming, and hospitable as could be imagined. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Dinner. Over the top delicious! Diane is a fabulous cook with a wide range of talents in the kitchen. Cold Carrot-Parsnip soup, shumai, Portuguese-spiced chicken, then a lemon tart for dessert. (BYOB, nearby wine & beer store). Breakfast was also delicious. Stay before they retire!

Nice home cooked food with vegetarian options (delicious tofu and vegetables pâtée) The breakfast was complete and delicious (homemade marmalade and scones) Very clean, comfortable bed. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants some peace and quiet.

C	Catherine Etherington on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here during our bicycle trip on Petit Train du Nord. We wanted to love the experience but unfortunately it wasn't what we expected. The good: when we arrived, the host met us and helped us lock our bikes in a shed; our room was clean and ready when we arrived; our room was quiet; dinner was served on the screened in porch. The not so good: the hosts sat on the porch smoking - anytime we went outside, we had to pass them; the firepit was filled with beer cans and the entrance to the common family room had an overflowing can filled with cigarette butts; the food was very disappointing- our $90 dinner consisted of 4 courses, the starter was cut up tomatoes served on a slice of toasted multigrain bread and a scoop of canned salmon mixed with mayonnaise, the soup was a cream cauliflower and broccoli - it was uninspiring (maybe even from a can?), the main course was a mix of chunks of chicken and mushrooms in some type of cream soup, with sides of mashed vegetables, and a corn, peas and zuccini mix...these were all bland. Dessert was a slice of commercial chocolate cake with clotted cream and a strawberry. Dinner service was poor. Breakfast included canned fruit. Other than our welcome when we arrived, the hosts seemed like they were doing what they had to but were not happy. The host was particularly grumpy when we were checking out. Thankfully the second night of our bicycle trip was spent at a charming bnb with wonderful food.
B	Brian Christmas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were just around the corner from this grand, old house, when disaster struck. We had cycled about 60 km when the sleeve of a windbreaker got caught in a bike chain and snapped off the derailleur. Owner Patrick came to our rescue, made some calls and we were able to get a rental bike so that we could continue our cycling trip down the Petit Train du Nord trail. While Patrick was doing this, he was also cooking up a storm for a delicious and nutritious dinner we enjoyed on the airy front porch of this 130 year old house. Much thanks to Patrick and Mimi for their generosity and hospitality.
