The Prospect Point Lighthouse is quite a historical landmark of Stanley Park. It was established in October 1888, just four days after Stanley Park was opened. Three months earlier, on July 25, 1888, the steamship ‘Beaver’ had slammed into Prospect Point. The current lighthouse, established in 1948 is a square pyramidal cement tower painted white with a single red horizontal stripe. We visited the lighthouse while hiking along the seawall to Prospect Point. The entry to the tower was closed, but we got great views of the surroundings and the Lion’s Gate Bridge spanning the Burrard Inlet.

There are stairs here. But if you can manage it it gives a great view of the city!

An excellent location from which to see the beauty of Vancouver. Take in the mountains to the north and the sprawling cityscape all around from this lighthouse. Take the time to relax and enjoy the shipping traffic.

If you're visiting Vancouver for the first time, you must visit this place for the spectacular view of the city. You can drive there or if you're feeling adventurous take a walk from Stanley park(about 40 minutes walk) My jaw dropped when I reached there. It's just one of those places that makes you speechless and enjoy the nature quietly.
