I generally do not leave a bad review for local employers as I want to help the community but I thought my review may help someone save money. I did not have a good experience at Proserve. The estimate given was a couple of hundred dollars more than the ongoing rate. Steve talks a lot to make it seem like more work than it is. A simple diagnostic itself was expensive and not worth it (despite his huge favor of reducing it from $60 to $40). Most mechanics don't charge the diagnostic fee if you get the job done from them. It's only fair to pay the diagonstic fee if you are not getting the work done because it's mechanic's valuable time to look into the problem. But Steve said that he would charge the diagnostic fee over and above the material and labour cost (all of it higher than quoted by other professionals in the area) I'm glad I only wasted my money on diagnostics with them. I got the job done from a more professional mechanic at $220 less than what Steve quoted without any compromise on the quality of parts and labour. The job was done in 2 hours and no diagnostic fee. Steve was the only mechanic who asked for 3 hours of labour whereas other mechanics in the area said 2 hours. If Steve considers himself an expert then why he would need more time than other mechanics unless he's inflating it to make more money! I recommend to search around before choosing Proserve.

Steve has been my mechanic since I moved to Canada 2 years ago. My neighbor recommend Steve's shop. He has been taking his vehicles to Steve for more than 15 years! Steve is very clear about the things that need to be done and in order of necessity they have to be done. His prices are reasonable and he dose a great job. I'm glad to have found an honest and good mechanic like Steve

Proserve Automotive Inc is choice when it comes to having my family's vehicle's serviced. Steve and his crew are very experienced and trustworthy. If you don't understand what something is Steve is more then happy to explain exactly what it is so you have an idea. I won't let just anyone work on my cars, so that says alot about Steve and his crew.

I've been coming to Proserve Automotive for years now, and it's been the best experience out of all the places I have been to. Well worth the drive from wherever you live. I found his shop back when I lived in Burlington 7 years ago, and continue to return even after moving to Mississauga and now Hamilton. The owner Steve gives you honest and great advise on preventative maintenance and recommended items to inspect. As well as fun mods and recommendations. He also works very hard to simplify complex mechanical issues and fixes simply so that even if you are or are not mechanically savy you understand completely. They also have a great team of mechanics ready to help. Plus loaner vehicles so you can drop your car off and go, by the time you have finished your shopping and hoping around. You've probably received a call to come and pick up your ride. Additionally if your one of those people that have a busy schedule and don't have time to wait. They are happy to give you the loaner cars to go to work and pickup your car at the end of the day. My vehicle is the Subaru parked out front still running fantastically. It's a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek (Hyper Blue) and because I drive to much has 155,000 Km's on it. Luckily due to preventative measures and general maintenance performed by the team at Proserve, I've never had to come in for anything critical to performance. Proserves prices are also very competitive and typically has the parts in the same day installed so your ready to go !. Good Job Steve and your Team keep up the good work. Subie owners you should definitely come here. Also if you need any paintwork / repair / dent repair, ARC Automotive next door is also fantastic.

ProServe Automotive has been my number one go to for all my auto repair needs. Steve has been instrumental with his expertise and professionalism when it comes to anything car/SUV/pick-up truck related. He speaks to me (a car-illiterate person) in terms I can understand which in turn gives me the confidence in making the right choices for my vehicle. In the 10+ years I have been bringing my vehicle(s) to ProServe; I have witnessed his ability to effectively communicate with his clients and staff in a respectful manner. He will go out of his way to ensure his clients have a thorough understanding of the issue at hand and the work required to get the job done in a timely manner. I simply cannot say enough good things about ProServe Automotive and wish I could give a higher rating than 5!

I can’t say enough great things about ProServe Automotive! Steve has gone above and beyond to help take care of all my automotive needs and his staff have always been polite and courteous. I am happy with how well Steve has implemented (health and other) safety protocols to protect his customers during this COVID pandemic. I have yet to take advantage of the contactless pick up and drop off, however, I have had the convenience of being able to use one of his loaner vehicles while my own vehicle was getting serviced. It is for all these reasons, I highly recommend ProServe Automotive. Steve is more like a good friend than my auto mechanic.

Steve has been my auto mechanic for well over 12 years now, and I will never trust anyone else. His expertise, knowledge, and the way he clearly explains any work needing to be done on my vehicle has always been something I appreciate. I have NEVER found Steve to be dishonest or out to make more money off me for things that clearly don’t need to be done. Steve has always gone out of his way for his customers and I have personally witnessed firsthand how late he has stayed to help someone with a last minute problem. I have found other mechanics to be quite deceitful and seen them go out of their way to “create” problems in a vehicle to ensure repeat business. This is not Steve or any of his staff at ProServe Automotive. I will continue to support Steve and all his knowledgeable staff for many years to come.

Steve is very knowledgeable is his field, very open and communicative with his customers and will teach you/break-down/explain things for you in the best way possible, wasn't comfortable repairing a part on my highly customized/modified vehicle in order to not butcher the job/upset me very very professional explained what I had to do in order to get it fixed and my best option. Didn't charge me either, I even offered money for his time! Great qualities, professional mechanic!
