We had sold on our own twice before in different markets and Doug was awesome on every level as far as the assessments, the listings, and support. After we sold a home we built, and bought our current home, we paid our realtor approx. $30,000. We could not justify that in our own minds. Selling our home was not difficult. All realtor's try to create a mystique about this process but it's really not difficult. We found the hardest part was getting ready for a showing. Showing it was a pleasure! Thanks Doug!

In short: The experience of selling our property with Property Guys Kelowna and Doug Lane was just short of astonishment. A breeze of fresh air, a complete eye opener on how a real estate transaction can be simple, stress free and inexpensive. In long: We listed our house with Property Guys 10 days ago. Today, I am writing this review with our house practically sold at the price we are happy with, the buyers are happy with, and over $40,000 saved on unnecessary commissions. When we gave Doug, “go ahead”, things got rolling right away. Within just few days our house was photographed, laser mapped, appraised, listed, and beautifully and accurately presented on the web, including PropertyGuys.com, realtor.ca, Google, plus bunch of other local and web-wide exposed media. Doug guided us through every step, answered all our and even buyer’s questions, made sure all was in required legal norm, helped to resolve and simplify unnecessary complications, etc. Truly, just fantastic support, know how, dedication, professional, friendly and timely service. Mainly, the received offers were coming via the buyers’ agents. The agents presented us the buyer’s offers in the form of so called “standard” agreement – a lengthy document full of terms and conditions and in it or with it they were making us obligated to them and financially liable for a substantial percentage of the sale price, even though they represented the buyer, and in fact, they were not even legally allowed to give us an advice. Despite of that, they had been labelling all this as “standard”, “unnecessary”, “legally required”, “binding”, etc. etc. – to both, to the buyer and to the seller. As we were advised, and had legally confirmed, we were NOT required to sign any of that, so we did not give in. All of a sudden, the fixed, standard percentage rates became flexible and the agents were prepared to lower the rates, even to a smaller flat fee (but still not much modest). We kept our position. “This is a private sale, we do not wish to hire an agent”, we would reply. One of the agents stepped out of the dealings. It felt like having a chain removed. We scrapped his paper work, the buyers’ notary wrote up a simple couple page (no fine print) offer (even though the buyer could have used Property Guys legal service for the same document for free), we reviewed it, adjusted a few points from our prospective, Doug Lane and Property Guys layer approved, we all signed, and the deal was done, smoothly, over email in just couple of hours. This experience was a huge eye opener. It showed us, that the real estate industry is a money grabbing, greedy system, where ordinary home owners are held hostage to contracts polluted by unnecessary legal jargon and extravagant commission rates and percentages for unnecessary and artificially exaggerated representation. It is long overdue that home owners have a choice now and choose whether they need or not an agent’s representation and at what price. This review board you are reading right now even shows the true color of some of the agents and their practices, where they obviously pose as former clients of PropertyGuys.com and fabricate and post unsubstantiated lies and dirt on their more capable and less expensive competition. Yes, there are many great agents that work hard, are honest, provide excellent service and deserve adequate compensation. Also, every franchise of Property Guys will differ and I can only evaluate the one I have dealt with, the Kelowna branch with Doug Lane and that one was just excellent. Good luck to you all in your real estate dealings, don’t be greedy, be intelligent and kind, and we all shall be happy.

Everything from providing professional photos and listing to helping you understand your offers and paperwork in detail. I can’t believe it! I honestly can’t believe it! I have listed my house twice before with real estate agents and was very disappointed with the experience. This time I decided to try Property Guys and was astounded by the instant results. I had three showings on the first day and each of them resulted in an offer. I ended up accepting one of these offers. I can’t express how grateful I am for Doug’s help and patience as he guided and instructed me through this difficult and stressful process. He was there for me every step of the way and was very patient and helpful in answering all my questions. I couldn’t have done this without him! If there was a rating above 10 I would give it to him with no hesitation. If I ever need to sell another house I will have no hesitation in contacting Doug again. We had an excellent experience selling our home through Property Guys. Doug Lane provided a no-obligation / no-pressure presentation about their program, our responsibilities, the support we could expect, the current climate in housing sales, and how to handle all scenarios, including multiple offers. Property Guys fee includes professional photos, property description, digital layout, MLS listing, and an answering service screening showing requests and then emailing us. Doug himself reviewed the offer line by line and made great suggestions. He was super quick to return any calls throughout the process and connected us to a great deal on legal. We got a FULL PRICE accepted offer in about 11 days. He encourages cooperation with Realtors, which is a smart idea. If you can save listing commission fees, you are still way ahead, even if you have to pay purchasing realtor fees. We saved a net total of $15000 AFTER the Property Guy fee and purchasing realtor commission. Showing the home yourself is the work you do to keep that portion of the money. We had nine showings. If you do the math we "earned" $1600 x each 30-minute showing which = $3000 per hour for our "work".

Doug Lane was a great guy to work with and the Property Guys format was easy to follow. Doug was professional and passionate about making sure his clients were treated fairly and with respect. Doug walked us through all the stages and still allowed us to make our own decisions. He was very responsive to emails and text messages. The photo layout and video were of top quality and really showcased our home in the best way possible. We really appreciated the call in service for appointments. We also enjoyed showing our home ourselves. We know the property and were able to answer all the questions that the buyers had on the spot. We have bought and sold many homes over the years through real estate agencies and privately and would recommend The Property Guys to anyone looking for an alternative to traditional selling, but not quite ready to sell privately on their own.
