About Prairie Sky Wellness
My own health and wellness journey has lead me to where I am today... a graduate of the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Registered Acupuncturist. Traditional Chinese Medicine was the answer I was looking for when I was growing up and dealing with menstrual and digestive issues as a fourteen year old so that I didn't have to take pharmaceutical drugs and anti-inflammatories just to "get by", where it was hard to concentrate in school or play sports because the pain was so bad. With diet therapy and Chinese herbal formulas I was able to live without the pain holding me back. I fell in love with how the body is viewed as a whole, where each system affects the other, and no symptom is insignificant, but they all provide a piece to the puzzle. My love for the body and how it works and moves lead me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree... before entering the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I was drawn to this type of medicine because of its holistic approach in treating health conditions, preventing diseases, and maintaining health and quality of life.
