Active Balance Health Centre is located at 19 Elma Street West on historic Elma Street in Okotoks, AB.  Our clinic is an easy 15 minute drive south of Calgary on highway 2A.

Our patients range from babies to those fully experienced in life.  We treat “regular” people,  high performance sport athletes and everyone else in between in a unique, research-based clinic.

Patient Hours for Chiropractic

Regular chiropractic treatments are available Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  As much as we’d love to have access to Dr. Sarah 5 days a week, she is also an animal chiropractor.  She treats horses and dogs the other days of the week.  For human appointments, please book online or email [email protected].

Patient Hours for Pelvic Floor and Orthopedic Physiotherapy 

Leona is very accommodating for patients’ busy family schedules.  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, she starts her clinic day at 7:15 am.  Tuesdays and Thursdays, she stays late until 7 pm.  Please book online or email [email protected] for an appointment.

Nuala has appointments available Tuesday through Saturday, with various times throughout the week.

Patient Payment Policy

Our goal is to provide you with the best possible care in the areas of chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage, pedorthic and acupuncture care.  We strive to be patient-focused and do our best to ensure that your visits to our clinic are all about your health and not about the cost of the visit.  This payment policy represents our effort in this area.

Fees for your appointment are due immediately at the end of each appointment.

We direct bill on your behalf to most insurance companies.  Please provide your insurance information on your intake form.  This authorizes our clinic to bill and collect payment on your behalf.  Insurance coverage varies greatly so please confirm coverage prior to your appointment.  During your appointment, we will process the insurance claim and you will be asked to copay any amount that is outstanding at the completion of your appointment.  We only direct bill to your “primary insurance” policy.  If you do not have insurance, the amount due will be collected in its entirety.  Detailed receipts are provided immediately by email or printed by request.

Methods of payment include:  Cash, E-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

Credit cards may be kept on your patient billing profile for your convenience of future payments. The card number entered is instantly encrypted and transferred to a carefully chosen, third party payment processing partner, who is PCI-compliant.  We only have access to the last 4 digits of your card number and the expiry date.  We take safeguarding your financial information as seriously as we take protecting your personal health information.

We request 24 hours notice for rescheduling or cancellation for any appointments so that each patient receives a fair opportunity to schedule an appointment.  Please note: During the Covid-19 pandemic, we ask you to please provide as much notice as possible.  All patients are pre-screened prior to their appointment and no one will be late charged for not being able to attend their scheduled visit.
