This is a marina for the exclusive use of the owners and tenants of the Port Stalashen condominium complex

The marina is not exclusively used by the owners of the Stalashen condominium complex, as moorage is accessible to anyone with a well-found boat that is insured. The marina is quite small, accommodating only thirty or so vessels, with a few dedicated transient slips. The community is gated, with condominiums overlook the marina, and cameras are present, so security is scarcely an issue. The marina is idyllic, as its quiet setting is never marred by excessive noise, and the gated community means that ne’er-do-wells never gain access. The only complaints that I have are that the marina’s entrance dries at zero tide, so you do have to manage you sea time wisely. Another feature is that if there has been a strong NW wind, you’ll leave the marina to encounter some seriously tall, short period, seas; it’s best to avoid the coast between Roberts Creek and Sechelt in these conditions. As well, in a good southerly blow, you will have your fillings rattled, as the interior of the marina gets incredibly bumpy with the swell. Overall, the place is fantastic. I haven’t encountered any challenging personalities, and the owner is terrific. I used to moor at Shelter Island, so getting to the ocean was always an ordeal. At Stalashen, the sea is just a stones throw away!

Quiet & secure. Worked as a great stopover location as we headed up the Sunshine Coast. Marina manager, Matt, was a huge help in facilitating emergency boat repairs. Mini mall a short walk away. Next time, we will bring a cord with a smaller head/adapter to fit in the plug.

The people in the marina are super friendly, located in a gated community everything is secure. There is no live aboards, water is available for most of the year. Power available all year round. There is a portapotty but no other facilities. This marinas biggest down fall is the sandbar that is continually forming at the entrance. Thankfully we never owned a sailboat but have seen just how low it gets. It’s also a narrow entrance and on rough weather days can be a bit nerve racking. I would avoid this marina if you’re looking for a place you can come and go as you please. Every trip needs to be timed with the tides
