Couldn't play the Clear Lake course due to a tournament, however was pleasantly surprised with Poplar Ridge. The course was in great shape and it was easy to get a tee time in mid August. Not really any tricked up holes, and only a couple blind tee shots. Green speeds seemed to be average, however I played in the very early morning so they were still quite wet. The only knock against it was that while it is walkable, there are long walks between holes, and #9 is far from the club house. Will definitely be returning though. Update August 2021 - The course is in fantastic shape. The area seems to have had a fair bit more rain than other parts of the province, and the course is green everywhere. Green speeds are slow to medium, but the ball rolls well on them. After playing this course each year, it has definitely grown on me more. Clear Lake has the reputation of one of the nicest courses in the province, and that is well deserved, but Poplar Ridge is every bit as good in my opinion. Clear Lake is definitely the easier of the two courses, and definitely more scenic in spots. Poplar Ridge is slightly more challenging, especially from the back tees, but still very playable for golfers of any level. Another benefit is that tee times seem to be easy to get, but that is just based on a quick glance at the online tee sheets for the week I happened to be there. I don't know if that is common throughout the season.

Friendly staff and good rates. This course is a nice alternative to Clear Lake and what it doesn't have in beauty is made up for in the quality of the course. Definitely worth a round.

Course was in great condition. Fun track to play but for some reason the course allowed both a 6some and an 8some to play back to back on Sunday morning, backing up the entire course.

I like the golf course because I like to golf. I entered a tournament and there was tiny cakes. I like tiny cakes. Doing my experience I found a golf ball. I took it home. It’s on my table. In the pro shop they have clothing, I like the clothing. They also have golf balls and tees. A sand pit and a little walk on bridge. I posed for pictures on that bridge. Friendly staff someone brought me a cart when I was sitting in my car. Convincing.

First time being here and it was a great experience! Very nice looking course with well kept fairways and greens! Was able to fly through 18 in just over 3 hours with the pace moving along quite well! If you are in the area I would recommend trying it out!

Beautiful open course with nice scenery. Gorgeous houses of various designs are scattered throughout the course which are fun to look at. Navigation from hole to next tee can be confusing, signage could be improved to help point in right direction. Would love to play again!

The course is nice. But the practice facility is the best in all the land. Great short game practice. Your going to need it because the course will eat you up and won't spit you out.
