We just recently had our windows replaced by Polar Windows. Our experience starting with Gerhard Enns in sales, Cheryl, the installation coordinator and Ziggy and Jason who did the actual installation was a totally positive one. A last minute desperate installation postponement request by myself was expertly rescheduled by Cheryl when she actually called me on a Sunday afternoon to confirm my urgent request. We were also very satisfied with the installers’ craftsmanship and the work was completed in the time promised. The windows look great and have provided extra comfort, energy efficiency and value to our home.

We purchased about $18000 worth of windows. We noticed a few defects for instance the living room bay window had a bubble in the glass. I also noticed one of the other windows had a random screw in it . We notified Polar windows They were replaced hassle free when available. They do offer lifetime But if something breaks, warps, or any other issue you need to pay a $150 service call Every time. I wish we knew this before FYI ecoline doesn't charge for services calls From what they explained I'll be getting my garage done .

UPDATE: February 11 2022 Still no service. No return calls. There is snow blowing into the house between the doors. People who rate them highly havent dealt with this. UPDATE: January 9 2022 Received a phone call from the company in November. He was not definitive for a time frame to deal with this problem. Said he would call back to have a site visit. We are still waiting. See attached pictures. Can see daylight between doors. Minus 23 and i can feel a breeze from our front door. Heating costs have risen and i am not happy that customer service is a thing of the past with this company. UPDATE: November 24, 2021 This company has never contacted us back with the continuing issues with this door. We have likely called them a dozen times this year with promises of a return call. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS COMPANY IS NON EXISTENT. DO NOT order doors from this company if it is a specialty item. They are not capable of providing a custom fit door. We paid more than $4500 for a double door 3 years ago. The delivery time was very long but we were happy for about 4 months after it was installed. Shortly after that, ice built up between the doors and it also warped enough that we were unable to open it in winter. We called service, they replaced one of the doors and the fit seemed too snug but they said it would wear in. It didn't. We have the same problem but in addition to winter issues, it is now difficult to open in summer as well. They looked at it in November, said they would order a new one and it is now June, nothing! I have called, emailed multiple times. There is no customer service, unless we express an interest in replacing other windows in our house. We have at least 5 more large windows to replace but I lack confidence in the company now. UPDATE: July 11, 2019 While I appreciate the response to our door issue, it will be 3 weeks tomorrow and nothing has yet been fixed. We would appreciate a timeline as to when this will be resolved. UPDATE: August 24, 2019 I am not impressed. There is still no change or repair to our door, no communication regarding when to expect the repair. I will not adjust this review for customer service that doesn't exist. Would someone please contact me with a date of repair? UPDATE: July 16, 2021 Our front door was finally replaced late last fall. Within a month, the weather strip at the bottom of the door began to tear away, leaving it hanging along the floor. We phoned customer service a week ago. No response so far. The middle of the door still frosts up in winter but not quite as bad as the previous door. We were told that we make need to switch to a single door if this doesn't work out. We paid close to $6000 for this door and have had nothing but problems!!

Amazing!!!Amazing!!! What can I say!! This is my second house Polar did my windows. I moved out of the city and phoned and getting quotes. Polar had my quote under 2 days the rest took almost a month or find a company to make my basic size window or still trying the size needed.Greg was amazing with ideas for the windows such as for my dogs love looking out windows my ideal was to put screens on the bottom of the windows but thinking the dogs would rip the screen and easier to get robbed. His idea was fantastic it solved both issues and not sacrificing the air flow that I wanted but I can go on all day. Sorry they did a great good. The two installers were super efficient thorough on detail and super clean. Bonus they told me the windows probably won’t be here until Jan to spring got Dec 2 just got lucky. Thanks Polar and your fantastic Team that makes you look so good in the window…. Thanks John

We have an older home and had an 8 x 5 foot window inserted into a retaining wall which required a support beam for stability. The whole experience was seamless. A wide range of appropriate windows was offered after an in-house consultation. The window is of a high quality, Canadian made and insulates well against the cold outside. The installers were excellent and obviously knowledgeable. Everyone responded to calls and texts in a timely and courteous fashion. I did not shop around for a second quote as theirs was in the expected range. I will definitely use Polar Windows again for any future projects and have no hesitation in recommending them.

We purchased our River Heights home going on 26 years ago. Over the years I have had Polar replace every window and door in the house except the front entrance door (still needs to be done). Unfortunately, two of the basement windows were installed in the wrong locations (one of the windows which opens and one fixed window's installation placements were incorrect. This was in August of 2021. Once I noticed the error I contacted my "go to" person at Polar (who since then has retired). He apologized for the error and asked if I wanted the installers to come back out and change them to their proper placement. My basement had just been fully renovated so I said "no" as I didn't want to have to repaint; have damage to new flooring etc. I did indicate that because of the error a percentage off my purchase of the 4 basement windows would be fitting. Text messages went back and forth for months as Polar indicated that they couldn't do that, however, eventually they asked would I be okay with 150.00 dollar pre paid Visa card?!? I agreed. Fast forward to March of 2022 and I have YET to receive that 150.00 Visa card. I have sent email messages on numerous occasions which go ignored and unanswered. If this is how you (Polar) treat a loyal customer of 25 years who has spent 10s of thousands of dollars on window and doors all from you....you should be nothing short of completely embarrassed...it's disgusting!!

Our family member purchased from Polar and recommended them to us. We have now purchased both windows and doors from Polar for our home. Great quality and competitive pricing. They are very willing to hear their customers out and make any defects right.

I so regret choosing Polar Windows to replace the windows in our home. After an extended wait for them to start the job, they finally showed up on December 7th. They had all the windows in by the next day, but many things were left unfinished. I mostly regret paying in full, as a sign of good faith, expecting they would get the remaining materials needed to complete the job. The installers damaged the drywall around the arched front windows, but installed the trim over it, damage clearly visible in my pictures provided. They also destroyed the exterior trim when removing, saying it was because of the cold, it was brittle. So I removed the trim myself from the front windows without damaging anything, they now were speechless. It was about a month and a half in between visits from servicemen, and very little was accomplished each time. The would show up without needed materials, and leave shortly after. Again I would contact Polar and was told the issues would be rectified immediately. Nope, wait another 6 weeks, same thing. No materials in the truck. Why even bother coming? Now it's April, and the heavy rain is making it's way into my house due to the exteriors unfinished status. Now I have water damage, to go with the unfinished look. E-mailed them, no response. I am completely disgusted. I have no idea when this will be completed, weather shouldn't matter to a professional company. Homes are built year round, what excuse can be thrown at me for this absolute fail? Until this is finished, I would recommend you to stay as day away form Polar Windows as possible.
