★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't think it is possible for me to say a single bad thing about this place. The Canadian Tire auto shop across the street completely left me stranded and they took me in at 11:30, reviewed my car, ordered the parts, fixed my car, and had me on my way by 4pm.
They finished earlier than they said they would, they are the friendliest people on the planet, speak fantastic French and English.
I will only use this auto shop the next time I am in need in Montreal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly one of the best garages on the island in terms of customer care and quality of work. I brought in my jetta a couple of weeks ago and Mr. Mario Funaro diligently went over with me what had to be done with the car and made me feel valued as a client. The mechanic that worked on my car did an excellent job and my car runs good as new. Prices are also very competitive and fair! 100% would recommend!

Went in to assess a broken shift cable, they quoted us over 500$ for the part + 100$ service charge and claimed to have the best deal around. A quick Google search using the exact part number revealed that the part was AT MOST 150$ brand new (many were cheaper).
Then had the audacity to make it seem like he was cutting us a deal by shaving off the time it would take to install.
Completely misleading customers into believing they're getting a good deal on service while making a massive profit by gouging the prices of parts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my car to Pneus Et Mécanique St-Laurent for an alignment after having a lower control arm replaced by a garage that does not have an alignment machine. Pneus Et Mécanique St-Laurent said they could not do the alignment because the inner tie rods had too much play. They quoted me much more than I could afford to pay to replace the inner tie rods so I retrieved the car without having any work done. I had to pay around $100 for the inspection/failed alignment. I then took the car to the garage that replaced the lower control arm and asked them to replace the inner tie rods. After inspecting the car, the garage asked why I wanted the inner tie rods replaced because they were fine. The mechanic took me under the car and showed me that the inner tie rods had no play. He did not understand why Pneus Et Mécanique St-Laurent thought the inner tie rods needed to be replaced. I took the car back to Pneus Et Mécanique St-Laurent and asked them if they could try the alignment again but they said the results would be the same until I had the inner tie rods replaced and added that my car was unsafe to drive until I had the work done. I then took the car to Garage Mario Barthold and they did the alignment without issue. I do not recommend Pneus Et Mécanique St-Laurent. I especially don’t like that they brought up safety as a pressure tactic to have unnecessary work done.
