Pleasant Park Pharmacy

I have had much the same experience as another reviewer on here. I became sick and tired of being treated like absolute garbage by the rude ignorant staff at rexall and decided to try this ida. Imagine, now I can go to the pharmacy and not leave angry. I could tell you so many stories of horror from my short time with rexall. They truly are something else. I did not think it was possible to treatt people like such utter garbage so consistently. At least they were consistent with something. At any rate, cudos to Sam and crew for being absoutly amazing every single visit.

For so many years I was a "prisoner" at PharmaPlus (now Rexall Pharma Plus) at Elmvale Shopping Center in Ottawa. They historically screwed up about 95% of both my wife and my Rx's! It was so bad they even gave me other peoples prescriptions and out of date medications!!! It was the most horrible experience. But, we tried and tried to stick around due to the ease of being able to go on foot. I complained so many times to the head office guys, the new pharma manager and anybody who would listen. NOPE!!!!! My words to describe them are very disturbing and quite profane!! Then I decided out of desperation to try the small and intimate pharma that has been close for a couple of years. I was fearful. Could they keep in supply what I needed? Rexall Pharma Plus seemed unable to do so why could the small guy do it? So, lets try anyway. BOY oh BOY! What a success! What a beautiful and ultra professional experience it is each and every time to go there!!!!!! NEVER NEVER and NEVER would I ever consider leaving Sam and the superb service and professionalism! A class act 10000000% every time all the time without exception. Thank you Sam!!!! If your fed up with the idiots at Rexall Pharma Plus at Elmvale Shopping Center, then go to the IDA at 1024 Pleasant Park Road. No matter where you go, you WILL NOT BE TREATED any better. Its impossible! Further update 2 years after my original review and I continue to support my original review. This location NEVER fails to meet our needs and 110% satisfy my family’s needs with great customer service with safe and accurate dispensary services. Thanks Sam! Thanks Sam and BYE BYE to: Rexall Pharma Plus (aka The Idiots!) AND ANOTHER UPDATE 3 years later: Sam and the pharmacy continue to amaze my wife and I. After all of this time, the personal care and service is traditional and such a gift for us. We even get our flu shots there now as well. If I could give an extra star I would! One more time: Bye Bye Rexall FOREVER and thanks Sam!

My husband and I started going to this drugstore shortly after it opened and we cannot say enough about this place. They are so caring and we never had this kind of services in any drugstore before. Pharmacist takes the time to explain the drug to you. Last year, Sam, the pharmacist and manager called us a few days before Christmas to make sure my husband had enough medication as they were closed for a few days and it showed he needed a prescription filled. This week I brought my grandson to CHEO and got a prescription and I brought it to Sam. I was going to pay for it since I did not have the parents drug plan #. But once again, Sam went beyond the call of duty and called the pharmacy where the parents usually go (since it was not in Ottawa) and got all the information so I did not have to pay for prescription. I could go on and on giving examples of kind things this pharmacy has done. I highly recommend this drugstore; you are not just a number. Thanks Sam for the good services you offer. You are the best. It is unfortunate that there are not more pharmacists like you.

I also switched to Pleasant Park Pharmacy after being told about the amazing service. Sam and staff are knowledgeable, informative, resourceful, and respectful. They also provide city wide delivery which helps me out tremendously. We are so happy to have found this wonderful pharmacy.

A nightmare of poor service at another pharmacy in the area while dealing with a wife dying of cancer and myself recovering from a new hip replacement . I chanced upon this small I.D.A Pharmacy on Pleasant Park rd. Sam Kheir the pharmacy manager has not only become probably one of the best pharmacists I have ever dealt with,I now consider him a friend. The service is always fast,properly filled,and they are willing to go the extra mile by dealing with your doctor if there are any questions or corrections needed. He even offered to stay open later one evening in case I needed a late prescription I had dropped late. It wasn't pressing so I told him I could wait until the next day. The pharmacy is quite small and not a super market style but the service is from heaven. Sam always has a kind and friendly smile and will take the time with each client. I even met a gentleman there who has dealt for years with him and travels from his home in the country to get the best service from a great pharmacy.

Like many of the other reviewers, I switched over to Sam's IDA after endless occurrences of severely unprofessional treatment at Rexall. Everything that has already been said about Sam continues to be true; he is a consummate professional who routinely goes above and beyond his normal duties. Praise is also due to Val, the pharmacy tech whose kind voice and efficient service makes you truly feel like you're taken care of.

Sam is a kind, attentive and highly professional pharmacologist. His approach is respectful and he brings level of comfort even with the most personal issues. He goes over and beyond the call of duty for his customers and is always eager to find the best and safest health plan. We are so happy to have made the choice to switch pharmacies our only regret is that we didn't find Sam sooner!
