β β β β β This is the best vegetarian place we know of in Hamilton.
We had visited the previous location on John St. This one is much more appealing in its vibe and decor, open and spacious and welcoming.
The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing.
On this visit I had the falafel bowl and my wife the Thai bowl. Both were generous, attractively prepared, and wonderfully tasty, with loving attention to textures, flavours, sauces and spices. Everything was perfectly done. Price are reasonable too. Both of us managed with great effort to resist the desserts, though they looked scrumptious. The only slight negative: trying to find parking on too-trendy Locke Street.

β β β β β When you're in the mood for delicious healthy food, you're not going to find a better spot in Hamilton. Always a crowd pleaser. Food is out of this world fresh and delicious. And staff is super friendly! Inside is beautiful and they have a great little patio in the parking lot.

β β β β β I really want to love Planted, and I used to love it. But my past few experiences have not been great. I ordered takeout and it was inedible with rotten produce. I contacted Planted to let them know, and while they seemed apologetic there was no compensation offered. In the past 2 weeks I have eaten there twice, and the food has been underwhelming. My most recent visit the food took 50min to be served after I had to prompt the staff that we hadn't received it. Some of the food was overcooked, soggy, just meh. We were compensated for their mistake which I appreciated. But overall I'm left wondering if these experiences point to the fact that the quality of food and service has diminished. I'm not sure if I'll give Planted more chances to get it right.

β β β β β Pretty good. I made the mistake of choosing fried potatoes and an extra sauce for my Caesar bowl which made it way too heavy and rich. Donut was great.

β β β β β Been here for coffee and also for lunch. Coffee is pretty good, have had their drip and Americano. Their sweet potato fries were delicious - could tell it was clean fresh oil (not for sharing, you will want you own). Also had the Planted Bowl which is really tasty, good portion. I don't currently like how you order on your phone if you choose to sit at the table, but assuming thats going to change when restrictions drop (CVD-19). The atmosphere is nice, can tell it used to be a church. Staff are very friendly and service is excellent.

β β β β β Yummy vegan foods. Donuts are a bit heavy but the smores bars and brownies are dynamite! The meal foods are also excellent. My hubby and I are firmly non vegan and we love this place. Browse on Locke Street after. A win-win situation.

β β β β β Coming in with severe dietary restrictions, we hoped they would be a safe choice with options and they definitely delivered. Our server was incredible, and took the time to sit down with us to explain our options and to check when they were unsure. The food came quickly, was hot and delicious. We aren't vegan but we're open to new culinary experiences and if you're in the area they are ABSOLUTELY worth checking out. The only critique I can really offer is that the building is less accessible than it could be, but that's not a limitation that they as a business can impact; that's on their landlord. They do compensate with outdoor tables at road level and they deliver and do take out.
Their ordering system is really neat, allowing us to order online from our table or at the counter. It was a fun experience and we would definitely come back next time we're in Hamilton.
