About Pita Pit
When Pita Pit began back in 1995, Braveheart was Best Picture, Seinfeld was all the rage, the Worldwide Web was just taking off and the DVD was new—and a major innovation.
So was the idea that drove Nelson Lang and John Sotiriadis to open their first Pita Pit in Kingston, Ontario.
Today’s trend toward healthier eating was still a long way off, but Nelson and John were ahead of the curve. They were convinced the time was right to offer a fresh, healthy alternative to traditional high-fat, high-carb, high-calorie fast foods. Their Lebanese-style pita sandwiches packed with fresh veggies, grilled meats and zesty sauces were an instant hit with the college and university crowd, especially since the store stayed open late—well into the wee hours of the morning, making it perfect for students taking a break from studying or coming home after a night of partying.
Within two years, franchise stores had begun opening right across Canada. Two years later, they were opening in the USA where the concept took off immediately with consumers of all ages.
Today, there are more than 650 Pita Pit stores in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Clearly, Pita Pit’s “fresh thinking, healthy eating” motto is an idea whose time has come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven't been to this location for about 7 years. I always found it was a lot of bread and kind of overrated. I went today and holy man, have things changed. First of all the restaurant was hands down one of the cleanest I've ever seen which is always nice before you eat, lol.
The menu is excellent with plenty of variety and the service was fast and friendly. I didn't know what to get so they helped me pick the right sauces for my pita (which was amazing, totally hit the spot. Not bready at all) Furthermore, there was a man behind me in line who was clearly a regular and they made his without even needing directions which shows a level of care for customer service I don't see in fast food.
I was 100% impressed and I will definitely be back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely abysmal service. I waited 17 minutes to be acknowledged by an employee. My chicken was ice cold, almost as if it didn’t get cooked at all. When I requested for them to toast my pita, she put it on there for two seconds, flipped it, put half on it, and wrapped it up. The lid wasn’t even closed after she flipped it. When a refund was requested after I tasted how raw and cold my chicken was, she argued with me, telling me that “This is how we always do it”, when I know for a fact it’s not, because I go to Pita Pit once a week. Awful employees and even worse food this time around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every-time I go to this pita pit they give me military discount with my CF1 card that is for active military and family. Some lady (never seen her before) tries to tell me the CF1 card is not for military and anyone can can get the card. She kept calling it a xanax card which it is not. After my lovely encounter I get home to eat my pita and it is primarily lettuce and bread didn’t even get to the chicken until the end of the pita.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most god awfully disgusting pita I’ve ever had the displeasure of putting near my mouth.
Not to mention how the worker wasn’t busy working, but instead flirting with my girlfriend and her friend.
The stations were filthy, no gloves were worn, manager does absolutely nothing.
This place used to be so good, now it’s nothing but a disgrace towards Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food.
