But the worst part is their discriminatory policies, choose to discriminate based on my private medical status. I and my family will never support businesses like even when this passes, we will not forget. We have a had a cottage in Kearney for 30 years.

Jake and Joanne catered to all our needs - from always making sure that our wood was stocked up, our wood stove was always warm while we were away, that we had plenty of potable water, that our battery pack was fully charged, a fresh towel everyday for our showers - not to mention the food! We had the Smash Burger and fries - how about that jalapeño mayo (spicy as heck so be ready)! This couple surely works hard to make sure everyone is happy. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we snowmobiled our hearts out, visited some beautiful scenery (the ice caves, brooks falls, arrowhead provincial park), and relaxed ❤️. We would highly recommend staying the night in their most welcoming yurt or just stopping by to have a bite to eat. They are only 9 minutes away from Hwy 11 yet you are amongst some of the most beautiful places to visit. Surely a 5 star in our eyes. We will definitely be going back and spreading the word!

We did not want for anything else ( but if we did, our hosts would have been right there with it) The meal plan was to die for…… we have never experienced “Quality and Quantity “ before. I definitely recommend Pit Stop 518 for a wonderful experience. Karen & Mark

It was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Plenty of firewood as well as everything else you would need. The food from the restaurant was absolutely the best- and brought right to our door. Highly recommend this place for a nice quiet night out.

The yurt experience was also the best I've had and I've stayed in yurts across Ontario. Perfect mood, excellent service, and the most comfy beds ever. Coming back 100%.

The food is top notch and made from scratch with fresh ingredients, and the owners are great people! Very friendly and welcoming. Don't miss the pulled pork -- it's smoked all day onsite and served with homemade BBQ sauce and coleslaw on a bun. Perfection! They've also got a good selection of craft beers, and the patio out front is cute in the summer. It's become our go to, and we've had nothing but great meals and service each time. Two thumbs up.

Everything in the yurt felt well placed and very intentional. So many unnoticeable details initially provided comfort, ease, and relaxation. The yurt stays very warm and the ambient lighting forces relaxation and reconnection. The hosts are lovely, very friendly and accommodating, with lots of good knowledge about what to do In the town of Kearney (hiking, scenic drives). Some good hiking trails within walking distance from the yurt. Food was delicious- massive portions and very tasty! I can’t say enough about this place - highly recommend this experience. We stayed two nights but I could have stayed a lot longer.
