A	Anna Brandson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very low quality - it's something Sam and Dean Winchester would stay in. The hot water takes forever and the appliances and furniture are dated. The beds are old spring mattresses, and the wallpaper is peeling. The side of the shower stall is loose, if you fell or relied on it at all, it'd break. However also not the worst place I've stayed; would stay again if I absolutely had to, I guess. The customer service is generally excellent.
K	Kayla Setter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ looking online I thought I would be paying $109 for a room, paid $145 after looking online saw that we should’ve gotten a room with two queen beds that looked updated but we ended up in a very run down room. With 1 queen and 1 twin. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable, place was a bit noisy. However appreciate that they allow dogs.. not worth $145 tho.

n	nathan garrioch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT BOOK HERE! Didn’t honour our reservations and BEDBUGS! We had 3 rooms booked. Received a call on the drive there to ask if we were coming and we said yes. Received another call 4 hrs later to say they had over booked and they didn’t have our rooms. When we arrived the owner was incompetent & unhelpful and tried to put us in rooms closed for renovations until we complained and finally got 2 rooms to cram 7 adults in. And after all that was going to try and charge more than my Travelocity booking showed. Bedbugs in at least one of the rooms. Would have got a zero but one was the lowest google would let me go.
e	ellellbee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have stayed at the Pioneer for decades on our fishing trips. Old motel but had its quaint appeal until the last few years. They have taken on long term government social assistance tenants on the upper floor and that is the issue. Middle of the night drug or alcohol induced domestic disputes at the wee small hours in the rooms above are the finishing touch. As much as we have family history of staying there for 40 + years, we cannot deal with this any more. Most rooms, they have put some effort into updating but that doesn't help when you can't sleep due to furniture being dragged around upstairs at 3 am with a vocal accompaniment of vulgarities being screamed by unbalanced social assistance tenants. It has become a pattern for the past few years. We can ignore the BBQ that "works" if you just give it 5 hours to cook a steak on its flickering flame. We bring our own BBQ but can't deal with the socially unbalanced upstairs all night when we get up at 5am to go fishing.

Room was a very cheap price and you get everything you could want for the price. Only complaint is walls are a bit thin but overall very satisfied with my stay!

C	Cheryl Christina on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Motel is in need of some updating but had everything we needed for out stay. Nice home base for our visit to San Josef Bay and other surrounding attractions. Owners were very nice, check in was easy. Our only complaint is that we found to beds very hard (we prefer a softer bed). Room included fridge, microwave, and dishes. Coin laundry available if needed, ice for sale. Lots of parking, overall pretty quiet. Allows pets, which was great as we were travelling with our large dog. Very convenient, short drive into town for anything you need. We would return again, but would bring our mattress pad next time ;)
