It's a serious hike all the way up to Monro but its enjoyable if you like a challange. Quite a bit of flys and mosquitos on the way up and tons of bigger insects at the lake at the top but overall an enjoyable hike and the view from the viewpoints is fantastic

Large outdoor area, with many trails to explore. Don’t underestimate nature, it’s a vast area with many ways to go and beautiful sights to see. It’s not busy or well marked. Familiarize yourself with the area prior/ look up up to date maps.

Back for another hike on June 29, 2018 up to Lily Pad Lake and still has some snow. Highly recommend this trail network for a variety of hiking and biking. Nicest scenery so far has been just past the Old Bulldozer in Upper Prichard Creek. Would like to make the Burke Mountain Summit one day but it may have to wait until mid August for the snow to recede. Be care if Hiking in the Mountain Bile trails as the bikers have the right of way. Also be bear aware from Spring to Fall. Great area to hike with your dog also. Enjoy!

Ventured into the lush green forest that took me through a bike trail system. Was surprised to have stumbled across a dilapidated vehicle near a logging road in the middle of nowhere! I don’t think there’s any parking near the trailheads but I did see some side parking right after you turn left at the stop sign to Upper Harper Rd. I appreciate that there are cellular signals around here so it’s useful to see where you are on the map using GPS. Be sure to plan ahead and let someone know where you’re going before heading out in case you get lost!

I've explored this park on two separate occasions now and I'm definitely a fan. This is a particularly attractive spot for mountain bikers and hikers. I'm into the latter, and there is an impressive network of trails that weave it's way throughout the forest. More popular trails include the quaint Woodland Walk, the Coquitlam Lake View Trail, and the very lengthy Burke Ridge trail. Do keep in mind that most of these trails take you deep into the forest and aren't always the most scenic, although they are very lovely given the lush green scenery. However, the three trails I mentioned will take you to some beautiful falls throughout the park, and the CLVT and Burke Ridge hikes have some pretty stunning views if you have the patience to reach them. Definitely worth checking out.

The view point from the Coquitlam lake look out is definitely in my top 5! Stopped at a water fall on the way down it's much nicer to look at then crystal falls! The terrain is pretty easy going until you get to the new path to the view point. Gets almost vertical, would be nice if they had a rope there to aid with scrambling. The trail we did was about 12km round trip parking at the gun range. Took just over 2 hours round Trip, with breaks and stopping at the view point Definitely recommend this to anyone! We also took our dog up there, great to get out.

Beautiful escape close to the city. Very well maintained, exceptionally well marked trails throughout. Lookout points offer a view of the Fraser Valley and Mount Baker, making the climb totally worthwhile.

Great trails, beautiful views, limited parking and the sound of the gun range for the first few km but all around great park. Note no public washrooms or garbage cans so pack in and pack out.
