★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been to the falls on both the U.S. and Canada sides. The park on the Canadian side is smaller, but there is a lot less foot traffic and the trails are lovely. The trail along the river is rustic, but beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very easy hike. Kid and dog friendly if they can do the distance, but there are also shortcuts if they can't. Great views. Water was surprisingly not freezing cold, but rocks are very slippery to walk in. Not great for swimming. Trails are well marked. Lots of cool plants and flowers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m sure the view is beautiful but the signage for it sucked and an un knowing traveller can easily get caught going across the border. There isn’t great signage and once you are across the bridge there is no turning back. Beware the states might hold you for 2h before letting you turn around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ High Falls is a simple loop to walk with a nice scenic waterfall. History plaques to read along the way which I enjoy. Well maintained trail. Travel centre was closed most likely due to Covid no washrooms on site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pigeon River is an extensive Provincial Park with a lot of hiking trails to explore. Located at the Canada/USA border, you can choose how far and what sights to excite your visual preference. From High and Middle Falls to vast expansive views of Lake Superior or simply being engaged in the natural forest. If you choose to visit in spring or early summer beware of killer mosquitoes. They are aggressive!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful hike, definitely one to save for autumn; theres a gorgeous view of the forest at the top of the lookout trail and at the end of the high falls trail that would be breath taking in autumn colours ?
