Picture Butte Auction Ltd is Southern Alberta’s only mixed livestock auction - selling everything from chickens to cattle and more every week. Regular sales are Tuesdays at 10:30am and Saturdays at 10am
About Picture Butte Auction Ltd
On December 3, 1962, two families started Picture Butte Auction Mart - The Perlich family and the Juris family.
In 1967, the Perlich's left to begin their own venture. The Juris family continued to operate the auction mart until 2001 when it was purchased by the Dunsbergen family, who operated it for the next 20 years. Picture Butte Auction Market was then bought by the deLeeuw and Slingerland families in 2021, and they are now the current owners of Picture Butte Auction Ltd.
