N	Nisha F on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One word. SUPERB. Andrew was our photographer for a crazy packed wedding day with 450 guests. Not only did he keep up with not one but two ceremonies he captured every moment with crazy amounts of talent. He's genuinely someone you want to spend your wedding day with!

We looked at a number of talented photographers and providers for our wedding in 2009. Andrew stood out with the quality of his work and we booked an appointment/interview. His approachable demeanour and open approach of what is, a very stressful and jam packed day, won us over. On the day of the wedding, we played it by ear and by Andrew's suggestion. We found some wonderful inspiration downtown, even during the rain which made for, frankly, some great lighting and colour pop. He and his assistant (Andrew, if you are reading, please help me fill in the blanks and my horrible memory - apologies in advance) shot our wedding in an unobtrusive manner, and captured all manner of celebratory and album wedding shots. Like all wedding photographers, they shot hundreds of photos. But he also supplied us with his top 100, which have since been made into our top 30 wedding favs and private album. He is technologically savvy - website, back servers, transfers, edits. And, he is really worth every penny. You will be a rockstar and royalty at your wedding. Hire somebody to capture the event, preserve it, and do you and yours the justice you deserve on such an auspicious and special day.

K	Krista Daviault on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We unfortunately had a very negative experience with Andrew of photoVanBeek, despite being wowed by the presented portfolio and proposed services. He was a consummate professional prior to signing the contract, but the services on our wedding day fell far below our expectations. He provided next to no guidance on posing or recommendations for locations or placement (even when explicitly asked), missed a number of the photos we had asked for that were not weather- or time-dependent, complained regularly about our options given the weather, and decided on a lighting set-up for our ceremony and reception area that created terrible glare and harsh shadows in many of the photos received, amongst other issues. He was extremely defensive, antagonistic, and mis-representative in further dealings, and we would absolutely not recommend his services.

We had some location hiccups on our wedding day (no fault of Andrew but the hotel) and he was amazing at helping us come up with a solution. Andrew is very creative and you can tell he is a perfectionist and pays attention to detail which is something we both value. Andrew had amazing ideas for location and angles. He didn’t direct us too much with posing ideas which now looking at our photos provided him opportunities to capture myself and my husband candid and natural. Not in too many staged poses that we would never naturally do. Andrew and his assistant Jessica were professional and accommodating and really were a great, fun team to work with throughout our very long (10 hours) and hot day. We also received over 500 photos within a week and a half of our wedding and have more on the way! We absolutely love the photos we have so far and how Andrew and Jessica not only captured beautiful moment of the two of us but so many candid moments throughout the day that really illustrates the overall vibes of the day. Thanks so much Andrew, I would highly recommend him to anyone.
