Horrible service! Shows their location is in Ontario and call themselves Photobook “Canada” yet they make everything and ship from Malaysia so you are paying $30 shipping and extra duty and custom fees. I’ve paid about $60 just in shipping and duty fees. So many other photo book companies out there that offer much better services.

I ordered wedding photobooks from Photobook Canada for family as a nice keepsake from our wedding day. Their prices with sales were reasonable, but I now understand why. Every photobook I received was bent and warped. The quality is terrible. We also ordered some prints but some came faded, and others came with weird filters on them. The items came from overseas which is a bit misleading. So disappointed in my services, especially since they were supposed to highlight my beautiful wedding. I wish I could get a refund and order from somewhere nicer, but they only do credit, which is useless since I will not be ordering from them again.

I am still in the process of trying to get a refund. I ordered 3 books for Christmas presents. Nothing has even shipped. They refer to the floods in BC as the reason. Meanwhile there is a location just outside of Toronto (I even offered to pick up the books from Markham, ON). The last time I ordered from them I received my shipment from Malaysia (ON TIME). Regardless of where it is coming from and (btw I really do empathize with my BC friends and family regarding the flood) I am still owed a refund. My experience with customer service has been extremely frustrating, they do not respond for days at a time. Once it was a week between emails. I did not have gifts I ordered for several family members on Christmas due to this and I have now made several calls and sent multiple emails over the past month. This after spending ages designing the books! The latest email says that they will issue a refund but it is going to take minimum 2-3 weeks. I won’t be buying from them again and have contacted my credit card’s dispute resolution department to assist me.

I used a be a big fan of this company, but I will not be using it again. Please be aware that if your voucher expires, you have one chance to renew. If you miss the end of the renewal, the project that you have spent HOURS building will be deleted and you will lose your money. After contacting the company, they offered to extend my voucher for 1 month...but there was no way to get my project back...and no way I could redo my book in 1 month. I have lost my money, my project, and the hours I put into building my photobook. I am not sure how it is legal to do business this way.

I had been ordering from this company for several years now as I wanted to support a Canadian company. However, over the years, they’ve since changed their shipping structure - they now ship from Malaysia and charge absolute ridiculous prices for shipping. You will pay more for shipping than the value of the product itself. The quality has also substantially changed for the worse and is definitely not worth the extra costs. I have one last order that has been in the works since January and it will be my last order from them. On this order, I paid for a voucher that was on sale for wall canvas. When I went to order the canvas, they insisted that I pay an additional $40 for special print - there is no option to remove this special print. When I contacted customer service, they’ve indicated that I have to wait for the option to be removed. Alternatively, they can credit my account for future orders but cannot apply the credit to this order. I have zero interest in having a $40 credit applied to a future order because this means I will be paying triple that for another low-quality, overpriced product. I’ve been waiting 6 months now for the special print to be removed. On top of the additional $40 charge for this special print, I also have to pay an additional $62 in shipping + taxes. In other words, I’m paying over $100 for a voucher that I already paid for.

We ordered 3 canvases with prints from our travels. What we got were not canvases at all, but flat boards. They look nothing like what we reviewed on the order. Also we had to pay for shipping even though the order was $300, and then got hit again with another bill from DHL for import fees to deliver the order. Photobook would not refund the extra shipping charges. Do NOT use Photobook Canada. They are NOT in Canada and shipping charges are outrageous. Poor quality "canvases" as well.

Horrible company. Photobook "Canada" is actually in Malaysia. Almost 7 weeks after submitting my order, it hasn't changed from "processing" status. Supposedly they had a flood in Malaysia impacting their facilities 5 weeks ago, which I can sympathize with, but they had no communication at all with their customers that already paid. They didn't respond to numerous online chat attempts. They responded to email 6 days later with a bunch of empty promises. Now it's 4 weeks later, my order still says "processing" and they are refusing to grant my request for a refund. They offered me a $10 credit in my account for future orders ... what a joke! The worst part is that they didn't even shut down their website for new orders during their flood. They buried a brief message about the flood in a tiny link at the top of the home page which most people would have ignored. They happily added to their huge order backlog because they wanted money more than customer satisfaction. Garbage company. Better Business Bureau here we come.

I ordered my wedding photo album from Photobook Canada's website and am extremely happy with it! It was super easy to build the book online but it did take me a few hours to get it perfect. There are so many options available and at affordable prices (make sure you try all the different promo codes available on the site and online to get the best deal). As for shipping, the product does come from Malaysia which I had no issues with. I didn't pay any duties. The product was shipped out exactly 2 weeks after I placed the order and the book arrived 4 days later in great condition.
