If you should be so lucky as to deal with Glen Carter, you’d understand. When you work with the best, you expect the best; and that’s exactly what you’ll get.

We are a "former" Phoenix distributor/integrator in the SF area. While initially it seemed an attractive and cheaper pallet wrapping alternative for small and medium sized business, we were spending at least 80% of our business time at our customers, trying to fix the constant mechanical and electrical problems of this Canadian line of stretch wrapping products. As if that wasn't bad enough, they have an absurdly long delivery time, and mostly of the time the shipments arrived badly damaged. After too many customer complaints, and with no sign from their side of wanting to improve their products, it appeared clear that it was time for us to move on, there was little or no value in selling this product, that was generating more problems than solving them. We went back to selling exclusively well established and reliable brand of products that are proudly manufactured here in the USA like Lantech, Robopack or Orion.

Poor built product, do the job (when it works), tech support is pathetic... We bought a semi automatic unit in 2015, it "was a demo unit". According to the sale person, the machine was only used as a demo for a bunch of trade shows. We got a little discount for that and the full warranty. Unfortunately we had a lot of mechanical and electrical issues some of them still unresolved. The troubleshooting with the technical support was pure frustration, the tech personnel was unhelpful and just playing the "blaming game". Thanks for the lemon.

We had 2 of their machines, and we had nothing but problems since the first day. We had to service both of them constantly and they never worked the way they were intended, costing us a lot of time, money and a great deal of frustration. The machines are poorly built and literally were falling apart. The support "technicians", when available, sounded incompetent and with little technical knowledge of their own product, mostly blaming us for misusing the machines. At one point I got someone at the phone apparently from the accounting department offering to help, since none of the support personnel were available that day...really? Nobody seems to really care about your issue or your business, well, I guess we got what we paid for...

My experience with Phoenix Wrappers was not anything like previous posts at all. Phoenix came up with solutions to our agricultural wrapping issues that no other supplier even talked about. Quick delivery and very prompt service. The machine with wrapping to breathe so our produce didn't wilt is amazing. We received a 5 year warranty. I highly recommend them as they solved our issues.

Phoenix standard of quality was always mediocre at best if not the bottom tier in the industry. Their business model was "and still is" to provide an affordable product at the expense of quality, leaving the distributor to fix the mess after sale. To compound this issue, rumor has it that Phoenix was "quietly" sold to a PE firm that is now running the company, cleaning and polishing it while in the process of re-selling it to the highest bidder. Most of the old management and senior personnel was swiftly replaced, with the focus of streamlining the production and reduce costs to maximize profitability. The business objective seems to be short term only, focused solely in boosting sales, with the goal of making the company more appealing to a potential buyer and not focused on improving product quality or customer satisfaction. If you are considering buying one of their product, "Caveat Emptor". You may buy a Phoenix product today and find yourself chasing after a totally different company tomorrow or in the worst case, no company at all.

I have been a stretch wrapper tech for over 20 years. The distribution company I work for has been selling a competitive product for many years but have recently started selling Phoenix also. These machines are built very well and are designed to be very customer and technician friendly. They are truly plug and play. 1 hour training to show the customer the controls and they are wrapping right away. It is the easiest machine to work on, with all areas of the wrapper having full access doors. No more little panels to try and crawl into to access maintenance areas. Customers we have sold Phoenix to have been very happy with them. I am happy also as I do not have to go back and work on them. I have given my company the thumbs up to sell Phoenix over the other brands available to us. From what I know they are competitively priced also.
