Been going here for over 10yrs since I was a student at the school near by. We still come here as a family as the pho is always good along with the service. Give this place a try!

Ordered delivery online, was quoted 15 minutes for delivery. Now, I'm a realistic person, I understand that 15 minutes was definitely not long enough to be quoted. It has, however, now been nearly an hour and there's been no update. I haven't tried the food yet, but, I definitely don't suggest ordering delivery from this place. ***Edit**** Turns out it wasn't the restaurants fault, there was an issue with the online service and the delivery driver from that service. I went in and picked up my food and they refunded me the delivery fee. Unfortunately I waited too long to call in and see what was going on, so, my food was cold. However, I don't blame the restaurant for this and I will try there again in the future.

Late last night around 830 I picked up 2 bun bo hues, specifically asked for NO PORK FEET. The lady couldnt understand me. I kept repeating at least 5 times "JUST NO PORK FEET". got home around 930pm, what do I find? 2 massive pork feet in each bowl & BARELY any other meat. The soup also tasted watered down, not at all like the other times ive had it. I just got off the phone to complain, they told me to call back on MONDAY "cuz the lady who worked last night isn't working today". Well, guess thats the last time im ordering anything from here. Being in the restaurant business for 20years, this customer service in absolutely ridiculous.

Must try place if you love Vietnamese food. Soup and dry food are both excellent. Grilled chicken is full of flavour. Will not disappoint.

I came here for Vietnamese vegetarian food. I will not return. General: Westernized Asian cooking at moderate prices - if $47 for two non-alcoholic drinks, two entries and a side dish is normal. I do not know what is fair value as I eat out in Canada only twice per year. Context: For eight years I lived in Sai Gon and Can Tho in Southern Vietnam as well as frequented Vietnamese restaurants in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I did not recognize the cuisine at Pho Binh as being Vietnamese. It appeared to be mostly ethnic-Chinese Vietnamese, possibly even Cantonese to me. I did not try the soup or sandwiches. Pluses... - clean and well-lit - frankness of server: when I asked for no MSG she told me 'everything here has MSG in it' - huge marble-like tables - photo menus (last page about twenty veg dishes) - One side of restaurant has a bit loud music - Vietnamese drip coffee ('cafe fin') available though not on menu. Server frankly advised against it, "it takes a long time" - cauliflower was slightly undercooked, a nice change - more and many real vegetables rather than fake meat - free tea, albeit with almost no aroma - sugar cane juice had one tiny lime halved and squeezed (which improves flavour) Minuses... - I asked for cilantro and basil but could not taste or see any - server told me they would make the fresh sugar cane juice 'now' but the extractor is a loud machine and she didn't turn it on, so it must have been pre-made - with a couple of exceptions all the veg dishes looked fundamentally the same - co-diner's dish rice was low-grade - everything was bland - garlic was low-grade commercial fried dried garlic, not fresh - black bean sauce was very sweet - salad rolls had no mint leaves - bill not itemized - Cashier made several comments about my not adding any tip onto bill (I left 6% in cash at table) - like most Vietnamese and Chinese vegetarian meals not really health-oriented ingredients - white rice, no mushrooms, tofu, one fake-meat processed food Oddities... - While I saw no evidence that there are two separate kitchens with separate pots, utensils etc (as in pure veg eateries in India) there were two dining areas, separated by two passageways, and technically having different names ('Sunrise' for the veg part). I found this arrangement bizarre and disingenuous. However, this neighbourhood has multiple Vietnamese and Taiwanese Buddhist and synthetic sect Temples, and maybe there is some religious mentality being catered to. - Many more chopsticks than forks indicating clientele is ethnic-Chinese - as is normal in Vietnam, ice coffee is more ice than coffee Warning: cane juice w/o ice is half a glass for CAD $6.80

I have searched from Houston, TX to Calgary, AB for the perfect bowl of brisket Pho. Phô Binh Minh is it - the thickest cut of brisket, tender and the soup! If you call yourself a Vietnamese soup Lover and you haven't been here, you are phô sure NOT in the know!!

Good reliable bowl of pho with fresh sides. Authentic flavors and quality of food is good. Sometimes I get turned off by hygiene issues, but the food is always reliable to make you full and happy. You can follow my travel tips on YouTube & Instagram @ iVuDang

Pho Binh Minh is a true gem, and is in my top three list of vietnamese restaurants in Calgary. Their beef pho broth is an absolute highlight; it has a unique flavour that I haven't found elsewhere (#37 (pictured) and #40 are our go-tos). The rice dishes are also amazing, and #56 (chicken and rice - pictured) is a personal favourite. The chicken is always perfectly charred and juicy. They also have an extensive selection of vegetarian dishes that are quite good. The restaurant is nice, comfortable and clean, with lots of comfy booths and granite tabletops - it is probably one of the nicer restaurants you'll find in Forest Lawn. Staff is also friendly and very accomodating! Their pickup orders are always fast too. Definitely a great place to go for an excellent bowl of pho. Pro tip: While you're there, make sure to check out Golds Aquarium just a few doors down. It is one of the best fish stores in the city!
