★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hard to find the start of the Bruce trail but the views were beautiful at this hike. Head to the top of the hill and turn left for the mountain view trail

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is very hard to find. I ended up missing it and wound up at Pretty River Valley Provincial Park instead. The tiny parking lot for Petun is located at a sharp bend in the road and hard to notice from road. It is a beautiful area that is excellent for hiking and enjoying the fascinating Niagara Escarpment! Lots of crevices and moss!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An awesome section of the Bruce Trail and its side trails. Connects via The Bruce trail to Pretty River Provincial Nature Reserve which has awesome hiking trails as well. Could easily make a full day of it. For Bruce Trail members there is an over night rest area where you can spend the night. No fires though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pristine area to hike or snowshoe. Mostly advanced terrain on the main trail of the Bruce Trail, some easier spots close to the parking lot at the top of the 2nd Line. Lots of caves, crevices and boulders to navigate on the Bruce Trail. Beautiful for fall leaf viewing, and a variety of ferns, mushrooms and moss.
