It's a small museum but with an interesting visiting display on ice age mammals. It's a good museum to visit to get a quick historical perspective on the growth and development of Peterborough and it's surrounding environment. We spent about an hour or so and it was worth it. The admission is thru donation, they recommend about $10. per family.

Loved it. We had heard about the fossils exhibit and decided that this would be a good time to see the museum as well. It's small and intimate and a great way to learn about local history. The fossils exhibit would have been better had the fauna depicted been local but what can you do if Peterborough paleontology is not as robust. The climate change message was loud and clear being careful not to draw conclusions.

A great little museum of local history. Good kid's activities, helpful staff and a terrific little gift shop.

Enjoyable museum for adults and kids. Exhibits gear more toward kids 10 and up but there's enough things for our younger kids that they were happily entertained too. Lots of interesting local history, artifacts and characters presented. We spent about 45 minutes with young kids along. There's an audio tour which we didn't use and could have made it a longer, more thorough visit with only older kids or adults. It's also free with an optional/suggested donation of $10/family which felt like great value to us.

We enjoyed the child oriented exhibits. Our young children had lots to keep them engaged and happily busy. This was an excellent March Break activity!
