★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just watched Marketplace and was disappointed to see vendors I’ve visited buying food from wholesalers, removing stickers and promoting it as locally grown. (Kent Farms). Was further disgusted that the market board knowingly supports this practice, putting economics above customer in perpetuating fraud. I understand the Canada’s growing season is short and the reselling might be needed, but don’t be dishonest and fraudulent about it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's quaint and all the produce not only looks delicious, but taste just as well. My wife loves to stop by in the morning just to pick up an odd thing or two and comes home with a basket full. Overall, great little market to buy local produce.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The downtown farmers market is such a treat, especially if you're working nearby. My favourite place for lunch during the week, great selections and you can pick up some fresh vegetables (and meat if you're interested) for dinner at the same time. Vendors are all very lovely this year - great crowd!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't say enough good things about the Peterborough Farmer's Market. The selection here is only out done buy the quality and freshness of the produce. The local vendors are so friendly and willing to offer advice and suggestions on things to try. These markets help the actual farmers rather than the big grocery stores. It also provides a great sense of helping your local community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Peterborough Downtown Farmer's Market is the most beautiful way to connect with local business owners, local agricultural leaders and delicious produce! It's become a Wednesday tradition for me and my family for over 15 years. Everything from the baked goods to the fresh fruits are always mouthwatering! The farmers and salespeople are always welcoming, friendly and so very gracious with their products. A perfect experience for the whole family.
