★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I moved to the area a month ago and have been getting pet supplies at PetSmart, as that's where I usually shop. Dissatisfied with low stock and variety, I took my puppy to Pet Valu and was thrilled to have hands-on help fitting him with a harness and picking out a treat. Phenomenal staff and a great selection of products here. We will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a disappointing experience at this petvalue location a few weeks ago. Went in to get some treats for my cat and decided to look at the hamsters. Most of them didn’t even have wheels in their tiny tanks which is the bare minimum for enrichment that should be provided. When I brought my concern to the cashier they tried to tell me that some of the hamsters don’t even use wheels. This is extremely false information and I was shocked by the lack of knowledge from someone who works at a pet store. When I asked how they would even be capable of judging a hamsters behaviour with a wheel - considering hamsters are most active in the middle of the night - they started going on an irrelevant tangent about mice and Guinea pigs??? I ended the conversation letting them know they should really put wheels in the enclosures and they put my bag on the counter, turned around to ignore me, and went on a laptop. Won’t be shopping here anymore until staff are better educated on proper animal care and the live animals are better cared for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ currently have an adopted cat from them along with one other rescue cat. I go there for all my cats needs and they are helpful and willing to give me advice on any problems I may be having. They once took back and replaced a bag of food that pets would not eat (usual brand) for a new one they did eat without questioning or doubting the reason for it. Am most happy with service and staff there.
