We are a family owned and operated Italian eatery, with over 80 years of combined culinary knowledge in the food industry. We have been providing our customers with solutions for catering, homemade meal options, and daily dine-in or take-out meals for the past 19 years. Whether you come down for a fresh Italian sandwich, or to stock up on our homemade sauces and pastas, you can always rest assured that our products are made fresh and with love from our kitchen to yours.

Peppino was founded on the principles of providing good quality products at reasonable prices. Joe Lecce opened the doors to Peppino’s in May 1993, offering only nine sandwiches and a handful of groceries. But he had a dream. Today, with his family, that dream is coming true. Peppino has expanded to offer more than 42 fresh Italian sandwiches (made to order) and 200+ fresh/frozen homemade products. We also provide full corporate and private catering, offer fine imported cheeses and meats, and stock only the best olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars that Italy has to offer. We have passion, enthusiasm and an undivided love for the products that we produce and the customers that consume them.

If you’re looking for inspiration, advice, or just the comfort of simple Italian fare, we invite you to come on down to Peppino’s Italian Deli in Kensington, say “ciao” and let us help you take home a little piece of Italy!

The sandwiches are out of this world. Their breakfast sandwich keeps me coming back all the time. Super reasonable prices also.

Everytime I come to the 17th location the staff give attitude like you are inconveniencing them for coming in and making them have to work. They also are always rude when I ask for gluten free bread. If you guys don’t want to make sandwiches on gluten free bread why on earth is it on your menu? Food quality is sub par compared to Kensington location too.

Oh. My. Gosh. I typically don’t like cold sandwiches, but whenever I go here I order the joes special. The sandwich is huge and very filling, ingredients are fresh. Would definitely recommend.

I love Peppino, but this location is hit & miss. Sometimes bread is stale, lettuce is sliced too thick and improperly portioned, too much or too little sauce. If you want a perfect & consistent sandwich, Kensington location is your best bet.

SO DELICIOUS. I got the chicken Parm sandwich and I love the simplicity. It really allows the true flavor to shine. Nothing but perfection from Peppino *chefs kiss*

So far so good! Had the Joe special as it recommended since it was my first stop in. Great service. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend stopping by. Also lots of imported products as well. Olive oils, balsamic dressings and much more!!

Incredible lunch spot. Super fresh produce, sliced cured meats, baguette balances soft and crunchy well, and a tasty herb olive oil on most of the sandwiches I’ve tried. Great vegetarian options too. The $5 breakfast sandwich and a coffee before 11 am is my favourite grab-and-go breakfast in the city.

The restaurant itself is clean, and nice looking. They have a lot of different sandwich choices, including some good vegetarian options as well. The staff are quiet, and all in all the atmosphere is nice. Now the food is okay, I ordered The Vatican Vegetarian and paid for hot peppers, which they put very little on much to my disappointment. My friend had their Joe's special, and enjoyed it. I went a second time, and ordered their Bocconcini sandwich with hot peppers, and although they charged me for them I got ZERO hot peppers! The sandwich itself was bland, but the bread was fresh. My friend enjoyed the Montreal's Choice, said it had good flavour. I probably won't go there again, since I know a few other places I can get a better sandwich.
