c	cecilia mudry on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot say enough good things about Pemberley riding school and Couch Dawn!! My 2 oldest daughters 11 and 6 have been riding a couple years now with Dawn. She is Amazing and constantly going the extra mile for all her students. You can tell that she genuinely has a love for horses and teaching us to ride them. All of the horses there are sweet, gentle love bugs and treated very well as you can tell when you meet any one of them. I also board my own 2 horses at Pemberley. Dawn is VERY knowledgable and has been so wonderful!! Pemberley is home away from home for me and my girls. I have and will recommend this place over and over again! ???❤❤❤❤❤❤

The horses are well cared for, the coach is excellent and friendly, Dawn O'Brien really understands children and horses and cares for both. The price is simply unbeatable and we are looking forward to seeing the results of all the renovations going on. If you are looking for a place to ride I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pemberley.

She has many horses (quite a few that are rescues) that are very well taken care of; each of these horse has their own lessons to teach their riders. (Love of my life is Daisy, she’s an amazing horse). I’ve seen other people complain about the stables/faculty in their reviews, and while it isn’t the nicest facility ever, Dawn and her team are constantly making improvements to it. I’ve seen a lot of improvement in the past year that I’ve ridden at Pemberley, and its on its way to being a very nice facility. Dawn is a very good coach who can spot the smallest errors and help you fix them; she really knows what she’s doing. Other than a few months of lessons about five years ago, I had never ridden before; in the past year Dawn has helped me become a confident rider and I recently started jumping around 1.5 feet. Dawn has a team of “barn rats”, young (but experienced) riders who help around the barn. They are all very kind and helpful (and excellent riders). My one and only complaint is that because their “indoor” arena is only covered, and not completely indoors, they often had to cancel due to weather in the fall/winter. Sometimes there wasn’t a lot of notice, which I understand, but could be annoying as I had to drive around 40 minutes to the barn and wouldn’t always get the message before I arrived. However, my morning lesson almost never needed to be cancelled, so if you can manage doing a morning lesson the weather shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Head Coach Dawn O’Brien has done a magnificent job of cultivating & growing Sam’s love of horses & horsemanship. I have so enjoyed watching my daughter’s lessons that at 47 years old, I started taking lessons as well! The cost to take lessons is so far below other riding schools in Maple Ridge. Dawn & her team keep it affordable so that everyone can partake. The ponies & horses at Pemberley are happy, healthy & extremely well cared for. So many of them came in as rescues & they have flourished under the love & care of the Pemberley team & their riders. I can’t recommend this barn enough! Wonderful!

Safety is always a first priority-safety vest and helmets are always worn. All the horses are well cared for & loved. The MANY transformations that have taken place over the last year and a half on the property are amazing! Each time we come, there is always another improvement done. I would definitely recommend this riding school to anyone.

She has learned so much and has gone from just letting the horse walk her to working with horses to be ridden by others. As a Barn Rat she has learned how to love, listen to care for the horses. She would live at the barn if she could. Coach Dawn ensures the kids are safe as well as the horses. We are so happy to have found Dawn and Pemberley Riding School.
