Jay Passi ! Where can I start ... He has helped me out when I thought my life was over. I had been referred to Rick Patel by a friend of mine who had won her criminal offence case while being represented by Rick. I had an incredible experience with Passi & Patel. Rick Patel was very professional in all aspects of my case, if I had any questions or concerns he always made sure they were answered. A thought rather than a review as I am not typically inclined to write a review, also, it feels almost impossible to give a review to a lawyer. The Canadian Justice system is a daunting system to navigate, especially to the average Canadian. Adding to that is the potential to have your entire world up-ended at a moments notice. Once that initial shock wears off, you're now faced with quite a few decisions to make, all of them important. All of them having bearing on your future. It's important to make good decisions. When I was faced with these, blindsided really by some potentially world and life changing events and problems I turned to Jay Passi. His business card says 'problem solved,' and with license. It's a bold statement, but proven true nonetheless. From the very first phone call to our most recent and hopefully last professional phone call, Jay has been a calm and steady voice of reason and compassion. I'm starting off with this point because the most challenging part of these events was 'how do I function in my everyday to keep taking the next steps.' Jay was readily available, intuitive and upfront, often times finding a way to inject some humor and levity into demure conversations. I would like to take this opportunity to also highlight the legal and professional side of Passi and Patel. The only word that comes to mind is 'accommodating' scheduling phone calls, paperwork etc. all happened promptly and based around my availability. There were no 'office hours.'
