Come experience Christmas spirit at downtown Victoria. The lit up Parliament building is a show stopper!

Definitely try and visit the gallery during a Q&A session. It was really interesting watching the politicians discuss important topics. Stained glass windows are definitely worth a second look. And it is really interesting to look at BC's historic shield. Also go look at Elizabeth's personal BC flag behind the rotunda

History and symbolism at every turn! The tour was one of the best I've had and getitng to go inside the parliament was an amazing experience. The only downfall is that you need to get there early in the morning to get the free tickets available only on a first come basis.

Nothing to say, i never thought that i would love to enter the parliament house, i just walking around taking pictures and the guard called us to enter. I didn't even know that visitor's can enter the place. And after that, everything was more then beautiful. The guards, the people inside, even the gift shop lady, everyone was so so so kind that i wanna say thank you for being so kind and make my day and i won't forget that Victoria have a amazing people no matter where you go, everyone is amazing here. Love you Victoria city and the people.

From 1856 to 1860 the Legislature of the Colony of Vancouver Island met at Bachelor's Hall at Fort Victoria. From 1860 to 1898 it was housed in the first permanent building at Legislative Hall or Legislative Council Court, a two-storey wooden building along with four other buildings (Land Office, Colonial Office, Supreme Court, and Treasury) known colloquially as "The Birdcages" because of their shape (burned 1957).
