The Parkyn Design team was easy to work with and did a great job taking concepts and running with them. They have a fantastic vision and a great eye to detail. Fully decorating a home that is a bit over 10,000 square feet is not an easy task! The team was able to combine luxury items with practical and durable furnishings all while maintaining the families' desired style. From start to finish, they have demonstrated fantastic communication and professionalism. I cannot say enough good things about Parkyn Design! I would highly recommend them for any small or large project.
K	Kelvin Jerald on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Detail oriented team, mostly high quality finishes. Billing practices and sourcing of material is not ideal (not always to blame however). Billing is done for all staff at the highest possible hourly rate, no matter if you are the intern or Tania herself. Tania is definitely worth it, but the frustration is with the fact that everyone is billed at her rate (when you only get her for 5-10% of the time at best). No other interior designer I have worked with does this - it is borderline unethical. 2nd billing issue is the upcharge in materials, which is a double dip in profits. Not only are you paying a premium on the hourly rate, but Parkyn Design takes a cut of your material costs which are falsely advertised at a "discounted" 20% rate. Jim will be your new best friend. There is a cut taken everywhere; from tradespeople hired to product purchased. Sourcing of material due to supply chain issues is not a fault of Parkyn but just the industry on the whole. The reason it is being mentioned is much material is ordered from overseas (China mostly) and while some furniture is sourced from North America most of the vastly overpriced material is from overseas. There should be a shift to locally sourced material which doesn't take months (or years) to arrive, but guessing the profit is better from ordering from overseas. Here's the thing. South Oakville is where the money flows and blank cheques are written all day. If you could not care less what it costs, do not care if you get ripped off or not, I would suggest this to be a place to consider. Would rate 1.5 stars due to poor value and lack of transparency.
