Parkview Children's Centre- The Orchard School

I've had 3 kids go though parkview, both at the village school and the orchard. Thus far it's been a fantastic experience.

Our children love this place. Great fun and experience for the kids and the teachers are fantastic. Worth every penny!

My daughter who is 16 months has been attending since September 2016. She is more excited to see Kaylee in the morning than she is to see me at the end of the day.....which I think is a really good sign. Very kind, caring and attentive team.

We had a very disappointing experience at the Orchard Parkview Center. Our son was 18 mo old while attending Parkview. 1) On our child's first day, his father picked him up. The staff made no effort to communicate with him about the first day, and didn't ID him to confirm he was family. There was no apology about this event, just an explanation that it is up to the parent to wait their turn to speak to the daycare provider before leaving for the day. Since it was our first day at the facility, we would have expected a greater effort on the part of the daycare staff to communicate with us how things work at Parkview. 2) About 2.5 weeks into our child's time at Parkview, he bit another child on the cheek. There was a very brief, un-detailed account of what occurred, and a feeling of contempt/hostility from the staff. Toddler biting is, in fact, a VERY common occurrence. Following this event, we [as parents] felt a different treatment from the staff, and we witnessed a change in behavior in our son (all of a sudden terrified of the bath, not excited to go to daycare in the mornings). Further, since leaving Parkview, there have been no incidences of any aggression from our child (and his hear of the bath has disappeared), leading us to believe it was due to his unhappiness at the center. 3) Care for our child was below expectations; he came home on two occasions wearing diapers two sizes too small, and on one occasion with a poo-stained shirt (he had several changes of clothes at the daycare they could have used). We removed our son from the daycare after 1mo. The daycare enforced their requirement of 4weeks written notice, so we had to pay a full month after leaving. We also had to specifically request they use our $250 deposit towards the "last months fees".

Worst place I've been to. The young blond girl Katelin who was giving me a tour did not know what she was talking about couldn't answer my questions property would NOT let me into any classrooms and just seemed like she was out of it. Like hire people qualified for the position. Anyway was told by one of my friends who has a child in that place god bless her little soul that they don't even treat their employees right. Taking my child somewhere better than this sorry excuse for a daycare!!!!

The staff is amazing, and my son absolutely loves it here. His development has been astonishing to see. All the staff in the infant room genuinely care for the kids and I have absolute confidence that they take care of my boy as if he were their own. I highly recommend this place .

When we were visiting this place to decide about daycare, there was a young gentleman who was changing a little girl while there was no one else in the room. I maybe a little picky, but that seemed alarming to me. Also, the place was not so clean.
